About

Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising is a real-time strategy game developed by Rage Games Limited. It is often classified as a hybrid of both a simulation game and a real-time strategy one.

Plot

In 2012 the last war on Earth took place. After the people defeated the corrupt government leaders, the world was rebuilt into a utopia in just twenty years. People started using the nanotechnological assemblers, which can create anything out of energy and useless objects. Even military equipment can be created.

Many cities suffer from missile attacks from an island in the southern Pacific Ocean. A spec-ops team is sent out to investigate. You are a part of it.

Gameplay

Each mission of the game takes place near the enemy island, which is protected by all kinds of anti-air defenses. All the player's vehicles are created using the assemblers aboard a military ship and are transferred to them using a boat. The vehicles are built up with the trash the player collects on the island.

The players have three ways of controlling their units. The first way is based upon the fact that the game allows for full control of a unit with a first-person camera and simulation-style controls. The downside of this is the need to control multiple units at one time.

The second way resembles the typical real-time strategy games. The players control their units by issuing orders on a schematic map. The third way is practically the same, yet it allows for much more complex orders.

The game is fine if you like the strategy in real time. The handling of a ship with a great versatility of vehicles that you can create is interesting and novel, I have never seen a game with this style. The one that is not in resolution HD is a very big paste, it is understood being an old game. To spend some time is fine.

This game is excellent, for me it is a unique style of strategy and is very interesting. It Is Difficult to understand the concept at first and some may not understand what they have to do, but Busquenle and then you will see that the game is very good. I've already finished it a couple of times (when I was a kid was one of the games I played most, as it is, that explains my only 2 hours of play, the game has much more play time in reality than only 2 hours). There Are times that comes in a very good discount, you almost get free, there buy it. I recommend it but have patience and spend time to understand what they have to do, if not the game will seem bad... Seriously spend time analyzing what they have to do at the beginning of the game. For my part I recommend it, although it is an RTS with a somewhat exotic game style. PD: The graphics are not everything, always remember that (it is a game of 15 years ago).

Product received for free (I Received this game for free by Indiegala) The truth to be a 2001 game is great. We Have the possibility to create the vehicles and customize their weapons and structure, giving orders as strategy game, or controlling the vehicles in third person. The story from fighting human forces to ending forces "aliens" was entertaining, and that Doctor Who Narre the kinematics was epic. Do Not expect high graphics with this game, wait for history and gameplay. The duration I found very good, it takes time to do each mission (if you want to do it with a certain strategy clear). As a negative point: the Steam interface didn't work out well for me. Did Not Count Well the number of hours I played, and only marked me 6 hours (I played more than 6 hours), and despite the end of the game, there is still 1 chrome obtainable that I did not give. If they are given away, or sold at a good price, do not hesitate to get it and play it. It's Worth it.
