About

Neon Chrome is a cyberpunk top-down shooter with rogue-like elements developed by 10tons.

Plot

In a distant future, where human morality is at an all-time low. Major technological advancements happen, such as the perfection of cloning technology. This allowed for creating remote-controlled human clones. These clones are used in many aspects of everyday life. Several individuals that got fed up with the current oppressive government use the clones in order to kill the Overseer, who got holed up in his office in the building of a global corporation. Take control of the clones and eliminate the oppressor.

Gameplay

The levels of Neon Chrome are procedurally generated. The developers created an advanced physics model that allows for the environments to be completely destructible.

If you die at some point in the game, you will have to start all over again. This makes the path to the Overseer a completely different experience every time you start over.

There are many guns and cybernetic augmentations available to the players in the game. It is also possible to upgrade your character. At the beginning of the game, the players choose one of three roles to play. All three of them suit the cyberpunk universe of the game where giant corporations take over governments.

The game comes bundled with a map and mod editor which allows for creating completely new experiences and sharing them with the game's community.

Neon Chrome reviews and comments

Great fun in local co-op.

Game only progresses after a set amount of levels that culminate with a boss that has to be beaten. Die and you have to repeat all the previous levels, loosing your character and guns, forcing a random generated new playthrough. Not cool.

Some borderline frustrating bosses. A better tutorial would help the random testing with the limited resource gained after a defeat.

Still recommended for those with lots of time and patience.

If you like the twin stick shooters like Smash TV or Roboton 2084, Neon Chrome you'll love it, plus the levels are generated at random every time you play it, so you'll have a different experience each time. Addictive and with a level of difficulty that increases in each pass, and for its out little you can play up to 4 friends in local Co-op. Highly recommended.

Well Here I leave a gameplay with comment from a humble server: https://youtu.be/yV0QdR2avps What I like the game: the variety of characters each with different attributes and abilities, improvements (or power ups), the mechanics of the game, the Musica y la Ambiente cyberpunk. What does not guto: because in reality very little, but I do not like the small variety of enemies and their designs, also the design of the Ecenarios is very limited although it is understood by the place where the plot of the game is developed.

Addictive shooter in plane Zenith, in which we must go from stage to stage to get to the boss of each chapter and defeat to be progressing. > Ptos positive:-Gameplay-Variety of weapons, enemies, skills, improvements... etc.-Great escalation of difficulty as you advance level. -Good Music > Ptos negative-Perhaps you miss a translation into Spanish, but knowing a minimum of English can move forward without problems. Nor is it that the story is very important in the game. -Lack of multiplayer online.

Neon Chrome does something great, it Connects the Game Genre Roguelike To the Story. You play a Hacker in the Future, who in the largest Building in the World with more than 1 Million Inhabitants, has to save the Inhabitants with his Hackers and VR skills. . The Building is threatened by the "Supervisor 1.0," which also owns the Building at the same time. So You sit down in your VR Chair and get a Bunch of preset Clones. Everyone plays differently Eg there are Stealth Characters or a Hacker Clone that can open special Doors or Boxes. You pick one-now you control it. Now you make your Way through the randomly Generated floors with different Guards and Robots that want to prevent You from Ascending. Destrustable Environment and a "stealth" system allow for many different approaches. Along the Way, you can improve your Character with Cyber upgrades to Have Zb a bigger Magazine or more Life and Find new Weapons and Activable Skills. Basically, the Game is relatively hard, but that's also good, because once you walk out of your VR Device again, you can improve the Stats of your Clone In your Room and buy more Upgrade places or permanent Lives with the earned Credits than Clon. Random events and Special Levels bring plenty of Variety and with a Mate in the Local COOP it makes double fun:) Very good!
