Star Crusade CCG reviews and comments

I'm Playing TCG/CCG for 12+ years now, i've played tons of different games over the years. This is by far my favourite CCG of all games i've played so far. I like this more than hearthstone, which i've played more than 1000 hours. The only "problem" this game has currently is the lack of players, but this is of course a thing that might change in the future - I really hope so. There are enought player's tho to find a match 24/7. The small community is active and the developer are interactive and will listen to feedback. This game takes a lot of positive aspects of other games but doesn't convert negative aspects. One of the greatest things in this game is that you can have 25-40 cards in your deck. Depending on the amount of cards, you will start with more health. More cards = inconsistency but more health, while less cards means consistency but low health. In addition you have different types of Commander Ability's and an alternative ressource called Energy, which you gain by destroying units or dealing damage. Your commander (=you) has different abilitys to spend Energy. This brings tons of new options into this game. Free2Play Aspect / Rewards: Keep in mind that a "free" to play game needs to earn money to further develop. Cardgames will always have raritys and rare cards are strong. That's just the way it works. In compare to other CCG's, you get a LOT of rewards in Star Crusade. You have a daily login bonus which will give you Free Boosters, Free Loot, Cardbacks, Commander-Equipment (Optical Benefits only), and a lot more. In addition to that you can go on missions up to 3x a day which will give you additional stuff. You just need to login and click on Explore with your ship. You can do that with your Phone@Work for example. In addition to that you have a new Quest every Day that gives you credits to buy boosters. The monthly ranked rewards are also pretty good. You get a lot of Loot Boxes when playing. These contain a LOT of items. Example of Loot: Played 1 Week in January, logged in 3x a Day for Daily Bonuses and Exploration. I've played 4-5 games a day (only!). This was enough to get ingame items worth 17 Euro (!). This seems to be extremely fair to me. If you play this game active for several month you can easily get several strong decks. There are also lot's of Special offers in paid content with great pricing. Balance: In compare to other CCG's this game seems pretty balanced. Like in all other Cardgames there are some better and weaker decks. Player will figure out combos/efficient aggro/good control deck and try to dominate the meta. The developers are doing a great job to keep the balance. Several changes happend in the past to fix issues. Pro's + Great content, Great Pricing, very positive Free-to-play experience + Ingame Guides, Solo Campain + Great System overall (Rewards, Daily, Deckbuildertools, more, lot more) + Regular updates, free content, fixes, balancing = Long Term playability and complexity + Playable on Steam AND Mobile Device (iOS, Android) Con's - Playerbase is not big, you need to wait 30s - 1m in ranked games - Some cards are very hard to get hands on (my personal experience), you get some cards more often than others within the same rarity - Lo ng loading sequences, especially on mobile's. - Fractia (alternate ressource) is hard to gain and also cost's are too high - Vraxxian Packs not avaible for credits It's free, just give it a try, there is nothing to loose.

Playing cards very well worked, a universe that takes place in space, several races well described. A small scenario at the beginning. Very fluid animation, tutorial very well explained. And the best of the best all in French. Do not hesitate for lovers of the genre.

It looks good but once the games to teach you to play each game you open ends up closing the application and you run out. Above reopen it takes time to load for you to happen again, until you decide to delete it or update it, you see to know when.

The core mechanics of the game are good. It's very similar to Hearthstone, with a few changes and twists (for the better). However this app have been giving me a lot of problems, such as irresponsive controls/UI and random disconnections from matches even with a wi-fi connection. I prefer playing with the steam client instead.

A good CCG. Lack of originality because the mechanics are taken from other card games fashion. The SF universe could leave many possibilities, there remains a small lack of personality especially at the artwork level. The game is still quite catchy and fluid in its use (iPhone 6). We would win a solo more toff and with a ct Space opra. Given the universe it is possible. Must do better !!

Many similarities to hearthstone but the modules and energy system makes this game more varied and fun in my opinion. Also, very refreshing with sci-fi theme and the visuals are of higher quality. Rewards for ranked play seem generous and I've already completed a cheap and decent deck. Hard to find good guides for this game now, but expecting more features and websites to be added shortly. I really like the modules and how they change up play styles, this game deserves more players:)

update: No customer support ... Pity about the really great game. You also have to take care of your users. Initial Review: Super Hearthstone Clone with lots of good ideas. Free2Play is great if you've gotten used to the many quests, daily rewards, etc. Raid Mode / Draft is especially good and with lush rewards. Where it could be better: Customer support does not seem to exist; at least I have not received an answer so far. Somewhat overloaded: no idea why you want to dress your avatar differently or why you want to fry cards green. AI opponents are too ... In total, still class!
