About

"The Dweller" is a puzzle game where YOU ARE THE MONSTER.

A team of archaeologists are exploring an ancient underground city. Unfortunately for them, they've awoken a monster... You play as that monster. It's your goal to get rid of all those pesky intruders invading the ruins that you call your home.

You are an ancient and powerful entity, however, your movement is restricted to the cave rock, so use your wits and the various boulders in the caverns to navigate the ruins, and reach and eliminate everyone in each level. Discover new mechanics as you play through the game, such as teleportation.

As you beat levels, you unlock notes that reveal the story of the game. Discover the fate of the archaeologists, learn of a mysterious clandestine organization, and maybe even find out your origins.

-Scare, Crush, and Devour the archaeologists!
-Non-linear level map
-Deviously difficult puzzles
-Over 50 levels
-More than 25 story notes.

The Dweller reviews and comments

A Question of "The Dweller" perspective turns the Tables and makes the Villain the Protagonist. While This isn't new, since since the Television Series "The Sopranos," the Villains have been established as the main Characters, but you don't play too often from the Point of view of a community-dangerous Monster. The Game made me curious by its humourless and simple Appearance and made me strike in the Sale for £0.49. Outside of the Sales, the Game costs €55, which is not worth that Money in terms of playing Time under 4 Hours. Such Games remind me of Mobile Games going away in the appropriate Shops for 1.49, which I Think would be a sensible Price to pay. However, "The Dweller" stands out from these Games, as the Scope is comparatively large and there are interesting and entertaining Excerpts. First Impression A Level map gives an Overview of the Variety of Levels that can always be repeated as successes progress. Often there are also branches, which you don't necessarily have to take, but can be completed for the sake of Completeness and Achievement. The Level Designs are very varied and change their Structure in a recognizable way over the course of the Game. At the Beginning of each Innovation, a very simple tutorial-like Level initiates these Changes. This is always understandable and there are never any Problems. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=871852155 The Atmosphere in the Game is a dismal one throughout. Due to the Reactions of the Archaeologists to the Monster, however, one repeatedly lost a small Chuckle. A penetrating dull Sound supports the Levels and the Sound effects sound Believable and not too exaggerated. Gameplay In this short Point & Click puzzle game, you have the Task of being a Monster depending on the Level (more than 50), different Archaeologists either to eat or to chase away. It should be noted that you are Underground and (initially) can only crawl in the Earth. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=871851965 At the Beginning of each Level, you place the "Dweller" in one of many Eartheneals, from where you murder to the rest of the Victims. As the Archaeologists stand in Tunnels, you have to connect with Stones that represent the Means Of transport in the Game. From there, it is now possible to hunt and trample happily. But while you're so cheerful chasing in front of you, you quickly realize that sometimes you're stuck, as the Connection to certain parts of The world Is lost. So Here a certain Ability To strategy is taking hold, which must be used during the Game. But most Levels are quite easy to master after a very short Thought, although there are also very tricky Levels. When Solving the Puzzles, several Solutions are possible, which can be seen from the fact that sometimes unused stones are left and without its Help the last Archaeologist has been bitten into the Grass. The Degree of difficulty is initially at slight, then exponentially rising in the Middle reaches its Peak and then drops again for the last 10 Levels, as it is no longer about Chess games, but the Battle between Dweller and Ghost hunters. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=871851749 Additional After Completing certain Levels, "Testimonials" from Archaeologists writing about the Dweller appear. These can be read exclusively in English and in turn show the other Perspective of the Conflict. Various Archaeologists perceive the Atmosphere differently and change their View based on the Experiences they have. It is very interesting to observe that these Same people escape at least once and the Letters are so credible. You look at the Game here from two Perspectives and you are always amused by this Fact that you are Hunters at the same time and feel Sorry For the People. Unfortunately, it has been failed to give Archaeologists certain external Features in the Level, so that they cannot be distinguished from the others. Then a Reference would have been made to the Persons, fuelling the internal Conflict. Conclusion For a Purchase outside of the Sales perhaps not recommended, "The Dweller" offers a very entertaining and atmospheric Gaming experience, which is completed by additional Content, such as the Texts of the potential victims. Wedding and Achievement Hunters will certainly get their Money's worth with this Game, as the Cards are not too expensive and the Achievements are easy to obtain.
