About

Welcome to the World of Ardania, the famous part of Majesty series. You play as Grand Mage that aims to build a powerful empire. The player is granted the ability to command armies, user magic on the battlefield and claim the title of one and only ruler of the Ardania.

Warlock - Master of the Arcane -- is a take on a turn-based 4X grand strategy game that uses fantasy setting as one of its main gimmicks. Research and use many of the game’s spells and their combinations, conjure powerful enchantments and annihilate your enemy. The gameplay mimics Master of Magic that was released back in the 90s. The player can claim victory by killing all virtual opponents in the battles, by completing the Unification ritual, or by just killing one of the eight gods’ of Ardania Avatar. The choice is yours!

There are a total of 5 DLC available for the game. They feature new races, modes, city buildings, and stories to enhance the gameplay even more.

Warlock - Master of the Arcane reviews and comments

Good Warlock... I want to say disappointed and do not recommend the game... even though it might be considered nasty let's say I don't like the unfinished taste that leaves me this game. Yet the game starts well, the graphics are not ugly, the sound is... infuriating! What is this voice FR of an Albanian refugee learning our language! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ what, there was not a single FR who wanted to tell them three line of text? Was it too expensive? If you play the game you will understand what I'm talking about, it's a heavy in the long... still when we at the game in US, the voice makes a little dwarf... good OK if you play Elf or undead it will change you, but there in FR... butk what! So the game itself, we are halfway between civilization and fallen enchantress... Unfortunately it is badly done, where fallen enchantress renewed a genre and proposed new, Warlock this content to copy on his neighbor and in addition it hurts u_u ' so we create his city that we defend against enemies with heroes or units classics, we can build buildings in his city and thus make it progress, to the rank of well thought things I must confess that the fact of whether one of our city has already Bati such or such improvement is appreciable, it allows us to use a resource location in different ways and having two different things from the same resources... I also find that all the resources are shared, especially the food... even if it's not at all real, how can a city in another life plan be able to receive food from the cities being on the original land? Huh?! Come on, I'm listening. What on the other hand is stupid, why they withdrew this option which is common to all other games based on the same principle, impossible to Rusher a construction by spending sub, mine of nothing is disturbing when we have a little zapped a quest goal... or that, coincidentally, the city that was destined to finish the quest has not yet expanded and therefore did not encompass the resource spot that would have made the Y-quest of God X finally validated... It's all stupid but that's a mistake not to commit. Doing research that is only limited to magic is... stupid too. Like my troops would not need to research their weapons and armor? What for? Magic rule the world is that it? Pffff the soundtrack is... BOF, not what to pavoiser. The mechanisms of play are well copied on the predecesseurs... but I don't know, it lacks this little something that would make me recommend this game, it's flat, long, boring, no surprises... And the worst thing is that with all the DLC, which I took by the way, one would think that the game is really good since there are X DLC that came out eh... Beh no, they're just there to shoot you still a little more under for a fairly crappy game. Looking for an equivalent to this game? will take fallen enchantress, you will not be disappointed! But this game you forget it and you tick "not interested" on steam;)
