Wooter Scooter

Wooter Scooter is a game inspired by endless runner classics like Subway Surfers and Temple Run.

The game was developed by Futuregames 2022’s Team 16 over the period of two weeks divided into two sprints for an audience of children from ages of 10 to 12 years old. 

It was play tested by children after each week's sprint, using the second sprint to make improvements based on the feedback we received from the first sprint.

The goal for the first sprint was to achieve a playable prototype, while the second sprint's goal was to polish that prototype enough to make it feel less like a prototype and more like an actual game. 

The second sprint also included implementing new mechanics in the game recommended by the kids, if we deemed them do-able within a reasonable amount of time. 

Taking the theme “Future Mobility” into account, Wooter Scooter has the player ride on a water-powered scooter while they dodge obstacles, shoot balloons and collect water to try and survive for as long as they can with the ultimate goal of achieving a high score. 

Team 16’s members learned a lot throughout the project and believe the final product to be a fun game that people of all ages will enjoy.
