BloodRayne Betrayal reviews and comments

Very nice little game finished in 3 hours (of which easily 30 minutes on a level with jumps without platforms to bounce on flying enemies... extremely difficult ^^). Game course certainly but good! Gameplay easy to take in hand besides being fast as it is classic: jump buttons, CAC attacks, dash, direction and distance attacks, short of the great classic that does good:) Scenario: Vampire, female perso, big villain, kill him, GG you are... There also a great classic ^^ graphics: very bloody cartoon style, normal when playing a vampire on one side... but not Gore, no guts, gut, lungs hanging, just blood sheaves from everywhere. Here I think I went around. I would summarize by: big favorite, to buy on sale (like almost all the indie games that end in less than 10h, rising difficulty once again classic. This game looks like a lot of points to the cult Castlevania: Vampires + various monsters (even if the bestiary is less extensive than a castle), 2D, charismatic end boss, sympathetic scenario... really a pleasure to be playing and little to be that I would play again in QQ time/

A real purge & I played it on the gamepad... Already have to appreciate the very rude and talkative graphic style, this is not my case, in addition the phases of platforms are ignoble already by the vagueness of jumps & by design, everything looks and it looks like nothing. Sometimes we can do jumps on other walls or platforms no, or it passes through platforms & I do not even talk about the super-jump that works once out of 10 so when you have to do it quickly.. ! The combat part is bordélic & is mainly the burrining of buttons not very subtle where the combos does not work at all blows... especially that she can continue her actions a few seconds after we no longer press on anything... If we add the animations that are jerking, the slowness to get up when one gets touched once.. (by the time we get up the invulnerability time is over, result one gets infinise without being able to do anything.) Without relying on the fact that the camera zooms in on the character at times at certain stages of combat that we do not even see the scenery or the enemies, see worse when phases of fights or platforms go hidden behind the HUD of the bar of life or paulay off screen or in the dark way Chinese shadows (but almost without light) already that one tends to lose the personal view in normal time... & we add the many crashes & the sequences of course where she thinks of flappy bird... Basically it starts well but it quickly becomes oripating as possible! There is much better in this style!
