Cossacks: Art of War reviews and comments

The Cossacks Strategic game series is one of the most beautiful of the RTS genre. I played for the first time when I was 10 years old and even today is able to give me hours of fun. For Those who do not know the game consists of developing their own empire, planning the collection of raw materials, the production of resources for the livelihood of your people, the construction of civil and military structures and the development of technologies necessary to recruit imposing armies and assert their military power. This Title offers a wide choice of playable nations, building structures, technologies to research and of course a great choice of enlisted troops between infantry, cavalry, artillery and navy, all varying depending on the chosen nation. But the game does not only focus on the ' managerial aspect, it is important also the war aspect, in fact, not enough to send thousands of men randomly against the enemy, the choice and the combination of units of infantry, cavalry and artillery, combined with the trim Battle in use, make a difference. In conclusion I can only recommend this title, a must-have for lovers of the genre, able at a distance of 15 years to make the ♥ ♥ ♥ to ♥ ♥ ♥ A more recent games beautiful yes graphically, but completely devoid of the depth that this game offers.

Cossacks: Art of War is a Real-time Strategy game and Stand Alone Addon from 2001 to Cossacks: European Wars. The Game principle is quite classic for the Time: We build a Base and produce Troops. Ideally, we massacre the Troops of AI before mercilessly spamming us dead with Hordes and Hordes. As Stand Alone, the Addon does not need the Base game, but is often sold as an Anthology. It includes some Campaigns as well as some Single-fight Maps with different Factions and historical Backgrounds. As a 2D Game, the Optics are still perfectly fine, though on reasonable modern Resolution a bit small (especially the Units). The Appeal with Cossacks remains the large Amounts of Troops that can be led into Battle, ideally formed with Officer, drummer, Etc. And actually every Player back then has sooner or later ignored the somewhat annoying Base construction in That regard that he refrained From extracting raw Materials and Using Cheat Got the Material to concentrate on basic Base building for Recruitment and Squad maintenance. In the first Video the Game crashed me all the time, it's because I forgot To use the .exe of the Game in the corresponding Steam Folder To PUT on XP by Compatibility mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yD2DOVXRRbk
