About

Take control of a settlement of the first modern humans, guide them through the ages in their struggle for survival.
Dawn of Man is a survival/city-builder from the creators of Planetbase.
The game starts in the Stone Age, and takes you up to the Iron Age, spanning more than 10,000 years of human prehistory.
You will have to get your people to survive, expand and evolve, just like our ancestors, facing the challenges that the environment will throw at you.
HuntAnimals were a vital source of food and resources for ancient humans. Use their meat to feed your people and their skin and bones to make clothing and craft the tools you will need to stay alive.
Confront Mammoths, Wholly Rhinos, Ancient Bison, Megaloceros, Cave Lions and other species that roamed the earth at the time.GatherCollect a variety resources from the environment: fruit, berries, water, wood, flint, stone, ores. Use them to prepare food, to make tools and to build structures in your settlement.Plan for harsh timesFish is more abundant in spring, berries and fruit can be collected in summer and animals are easier to come by when it's warm.
When winter comes, make sure to have enough non-perishable food and warm clothing in order to survive.Expand and fortify your settlementBuild more homes and facilities for your people, in order to expand your population.
Construct fortifications and craft weapons, so you are ready for when the inevitable conflict comes.Research TechnologiesEach new discovery will make it easier for your settlement to be able to support larger populations, but will also bring new challenges: increased food demand, morale issues and more frequent raider attacks.Build Megalithic StructuresOur ancestors were capable of incredible engineering feats: mine massive rocks from the environment, transport them using sledges and construct colossal stone structures.Control NatureUnlock farming technologies to grow your own vegetables, so you can feed large amounts of people. Domesticate animals to produce food, resources and provide increased muscle power.

Dawn of Man reviews and comments

I can only recommend this Game! Very pleasant to play a "finished" game on Steam For a change-it's not an early access title! I would Compare this Game with Banished and the Cultures series (Funatics). We accompany Primitive People in different Eras, also a bit similar to AgeOfEmpires and Co when you look at the tech free. The Graphics are, and I'm probably the only one of the so something ' flawed ', quite Trimmed on Real, no pixel, no bonding, no fantasy shapes-I fault it a bit, because I find in the Green-brown mud recognize my old ones (?) Eyes of bad important Details. I would probably also Mound the Camera: Turning & Zoom are okay, but we can't tilt the Camera, which can be a bit exhausting in some Places (of the Hunt!). EDITIERING: This Wish was delivered in a Patch!!! Micromanagement is not absolutely necessary, because you can easily set "zones" in which it is automatically dismantled-but also approach everything by Hand. I just came to the house of Animals "only", built my first Stable (2 Pieces!!) and upgraded the first Houses to Thatched Roofs-and if I didn't have to work tomorrow, my Night would be far from Over. Here I definitely wanted to leave this positive Review for all Deutschlesers: Who is a bit at Home in the Genre and does not get Any Escape Thoughts with Names like Banished, LifeIsFeudal, Cultures, AgeOfEmpires, Pharao/Zeus/Caesar/Kaiser and Siedler3-IS HERE GENAU RIGHT! I forgot a Game for Comparison: ChildrenOfTheNile (CotN)! Imagine CotN with Primitive People and Mammoths. Voila: DawnOfMan! Hats off Madruga! I really like it! # # # # # BEARBEITUNG 06.03.2019 # # # # # So, after the constructive Criticism from bob here a Re-Review after a little more Game time. I also play offline in the ... * hust * office * räusper * ... But I'm a little Fanboy, I admit that. :-) But the Game still convinces me; I'm a Player who makes Mistakes in the Build-up and then starts again to correct those Mistakes and have a round, satisfying Gameplay. In the first Pass I relied on flint/Tool ... Decdüm ... Flint is finite and I had NIX more, so Reboot: In the second Pass I chased out the male Wildlife (Antlers, Horns, in the Wildlife the Males are just nicer!) ... Stupid... No Game was there. Reboot: In the third Round I was really good and wanted to upgrade my Settlement to a beautiful Pallisade. Due to too long Maturities, too slow a supply of raw Materials (Building Material) and the harsh Winter er ... A Scoop Of Primitive man please, in the Cup, with hot Raspberries ... Reboot: Fourth (current) run; I'm in Stage 2 of 5 and I'm tackling everything LANGSAM ... And think more than before ... ... As a result, I'm not a fast Player and I enjoy playing games longer than others. In this Game, the "Goal" is the End of the Research tree, from then on it is only about repetitive Survival and Growth-as in every Building Game. Missions are then over. So far I have not progressed beyond Research level (Development Time) 3 out of 5, because I have always not liked something in my Settlement and I put down a Restart. (See above) ^^ The Game Gives you Knowledge points for various Actions 10x Spear made, 100x Spear, etc. It is fluid and but lying longwinless for the Dots "to wait," thus has a Somewhat "dragged on". If the Developers turn to the right Screws and there will be Moddigsupport As in LifeIsFeudal/Banished, there can be long Gameplay here. # # # # # City 06.03.2019 # # # # https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1675098749 # # # # BEARBEITUNG 11.03.2019 # # # # I've now arrived in The Copper season. Now Have two Cities separate from a River. Run great, no Cold Deaths, no famines, of all In abundance. I export a lot and import mainly wood and Copper to Protect My (man) power. Export is mainly Clothing, I produce it extremely much. # # # # City 11.03.2019 # # # # https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1679626094 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1679626049
