Hearthlands
About
Hearthlands is a medieval/fantasy city-building real time strategy game in which you take a role of a king in a procedurally generated world. You can not control your subjects directly; instead you focus on city-building, resource management, diplomacy, heroes, magic and other things a
typical king deals with on a daily basis.
The game is very flexible: you can build up a powerful realm and rule the lands with an iron grip, or establish a humble fishermen village. Or create a trading empire. Or found a small, but well-defended outpost or raider's camp. Or become a host of a wizard's manor.
All characters, from a hauler to a hero have their own minds and behavior patterns. Sometimes it is interesting just to watch people scurry about minding their own business.Features:

Early Access Review It is a Game that reminds me very strongly of Settlers 3 and 4 respectively and probably comes closest to the Series. Giving Does nothing to a Hearthlands, by the way. I also think that there is still a little bit of a balance and I hope that this will improve.
With the Combat System, I've held back a bit so far as, as I said, it's a bit hard for me. I had the Settings on easy, but was still overrun by the Opponent. Was just done with Iron Production and had no Weapons. The next Attempt to pull up iron production more quickly was not much better either. As I said, Hiring stood on "Light."
Otherwise, some of the Raw Materials are still very limited and you can change that very late with Magic and Knowledge points. Until then, the Iron is usually not enough. Me, anyway.
So far, I find the trading System to a large Extent rather superfluous. If the AI wants to sell the same Crap as me and needs almost the same as me, that's kind of ... Pointless.
Then I hope you can run a bit more Micromanagmanet later. I would be bothered by a few More little Things:D
But my Problems and Criticisms would all be down to Balancing. It is still Early Access.
Otherwise, the Game is fun and you should give the Game a Chance if a Settler has fun 3/4, you can't actually do much wrong;)

For me, one of the better Games. I'm only bothered by two Things about this Game:-Once I find the Autosave Setting Crap ... And you can't give your own Storage a name of your own ... What kind of isn't that great then either. If the Game is to be loaded again, there is an eternally long List of Car Saves and I delete them individually ... Strange Circumstance. Maybe you can also park Autosave ... No idea... Not yet looked up. (Update: Can be left:-))
-It is difficult to keep track Of which Raw Materials are still missing for what. Would I Have liked more from the Overview.
But somehow I feel like I'm suing at a high Level now, because the Benefits of the Game far outweigh the negative Things for me. I think the Graphics are ok. I think the Music is ok. The Trading System is very good. The "Combat System" (I guess exaggerate a little with the Word) is also good. The Game, the Excitement, the Appeal is great in my Opinion. It's just Fun for me to build my City, chase away Ghosts and Witches, mine raw Materials, maintain the Economic System, trade and prevail against competitors "AI. For me, the Game has everything I expect from a good Game: The Replay appeal. Many Settings can be selected at the Start of The game. Class I think it shows in% how the current Setting affects the level of Difficulty. So I Have 100% I will start the next Game with 120% or more. That's how I like-because that's how the Challenge remains for me.
So Hearthlands doesn't do everything right, but neither does everything wrong. On the Contrary, new, fresh Game Elements bring about an exciting Game that I will certainly play more often.
VORSIGHT: An Assessment of a Game can only ever express my own personal Opinion.
Other Players may have a very different Opinion, which is just as right as well.
