About

Neon Drive is a slick retro-futuristic arcade game that will make your brain melt. You've been warned.

From beautiful cityscapes and ocean roads to exploding enemy spaceships, Neon Drive has it all. It's inspired by the arcade games of the 80's, but set against a futuristic backdrop of glowing cyber-grid, all in silky-smooth graphics. Neon Drive brings you 7 amazing levels, adding up to hours of enjoyment. Each level features multiple twists and perspective changes, keeping you on your toes (err, wheels) throughout the gameplay.

Neon Drive will put your mad dodging skills to a real test, mercilessly pushing the limits of your reaction time and short-term memory to avoid obstacles and dead-ends. Seriously, this game is wicked; just when you think you've got the hang of it, it turns the table on you.

Each level of the game comes with a custom-made retro music track, perfectly tuned and in sync with the roadblocks and your enemies. This allows you to just follow the beat, unplug, and zen out. Watch the landscape seamlessly morph from one scene to the next, in a ballet of colors and shapes, and let your inner driver take the wheel. You've got this.

  • 7 levels, hundreds of obstacles, and infinite challenge
  • Breathtakingly beautiful and silky-smooth graphics
  • Custom-made retro synth music, perfectly in sync with the obstacles
  • Super addictive
  • Includes exploding enemy spaceships, seriously!
  • If you can win all the achievements, we hereby certify you have superhuman abilities!

Neon Drive reviews and comments

And again a Game with nice Graphics and good Music, but unreincsible by the Degree Of difficulty, even in the simplest Level. Continuing like Level 2 I can't do, I've tried several Times and now given the Game several chances, but that's not the way to do it if you don't even reach the Goal at the simplest Difficulty level. That doesn't make You want, but just brings Frustration! As a Game Developer, you should pay a bit of attention to the level design and construct a Game to be able to do so.

I would love the Game so much, but unfortunately I can't ... Neon Drive technically gets a hell of a lot right: The Graphics have a cool Style with garish neon colors And 80s look. Absolute Highlight, however, is the perfect Retro-electric style Soundtrack. This one first alerted me to the Game. Unfortunately, however, it is still a Video Game and they are supposed to be One thing above all else: Fun! And Neon Drive is so frustratingly heavy that there's simply a lack of Fun. You don't recognize many Obstacles in time right away and then it's too late, because you can't react in time anymore. In addition, there is always only one prescribed Way to get through the Levels, all Alternative Paths lead to a Dead end that costs Your Life. If you really want to play through the game, you have to memorize the Levels completely with all The obstacles and for that I have neither Ambitions nor Understanding. I can absolutely recommend The Soundtrack, unfortunately I have to advise against the Game despite good Approaches!

Game frankly beautiful, and the soundtrack is awesome too. The second part of levels varies the gameplay, and the difficulty is far from easy, I even want to say on some levels "die & retry", forcing the player to grasp the patterns used, with sometimes paths "no issues" punitive. But I like this kind of thing, I only have one regret is to see only 7 levels, because I would like more to prolong the experience. (the hard/insane modes are not different enough to motivate the replayability of the levels I want to say, and are more a demand for total mastery of the level than a real increase in difficulty (the level is mostly more punitive in hard) because of not have a right to error). After, for my part, I made the first 5 levels to 100% and I reached the 2nd part (we will say in his middle, ~ 75% of the level) on the 6 and 7ths in one evening. (but I'm kind of accustomed to the rhythm games:)), maybe for that I feel a lack that there may not be 3 more. (although it must be a huge job, the game is graphically and musically perfect as experience I find).
