About

Visiting Rome from Chicago, where he works as a doctor, ex-priest James Murphy answers a mysterious call for help from his friend Cristoforo. The disappearance of a briefcase containing compromising documents is enough to convince James that his friend is a victim of something shady and sinister. The Vatican's involvement and some strange parallels with his own traumatic past inspire James to get to the bottom of this mystery.
Along this dangerous and disturbing path, James finds the most unlikely travelling companion who will question his deepest beliefs. And so the two characters begin both a physical journey in search of the truth, and a metaphysical exploration of the inner soul and the darkest secrets that everyone hides, even a "champion of the faith" like James.
Rome is the stage for this adventure – a city bathed in eternal twilight, its skies tinted the color of blood spilled in more than thirty years of intrigue: blood of innocents and guilty, unknown and famous victims alike.KEY FEATURESShadows on the Vatican is a thrilling new point-and-click adventure in 4 acts, inspired by real events in recent Italian history and freely adapted from the bestseller of David Yallop "In God's Name".

Shadows on the Vatican Act I: Greed reviews and comments

Shadows on the Vatican Act I is a thematically religious and money-power-politically inspired point & Click. +-1) characteristic Drawing Style in Figures and intermediate scenes 1) unresolved Animations and Unsightly Ambient design 2) a few funny Dialogues, character-based quirks in the Dialogues 2) Subtitles do not fit into the Speech Bubbles, are partially unv ollständig 3) English Voiceover (simple English) 3) Story was for me not motivating to continue playing the Game, especially the Sterotype answers of the main Character of the Ex-prister 4) Nette puzzles, Car Chase through the City or book saints-R Revelie (Find Secret message) 4O)comparatively to long loading Times especially with advanced Gameplay I think the Drawing style has a lot of Potential due to its strong Charisika. The Game, on the other hand, has far less Potential. Personally, I would rather recommend Point & Clicks like "Awakening-The Forest of Red Leaves" or "The House On the Lake." Both have probing Elements. However, they are not as strongly detective pronounced as they were in Shadows on the Vatican and I think this is also one of the biggest Features of the Game. In my Opinion, this point and the Drawing Style should be built on this Point and the drawing style in the following Files. I, on the other hand, will not pursue the Row any further.

Soundscree but unspectacular – for Fans of Church Conspiracies With the first Act for their Episode game "Shadows on the Vatican," the Italian Developers provide rock solid adventure fare based on the classic Point & Click scheme. One is almost willing to say that the Game is too solid, because any Special Features that make the Title stand out from the Crowd of Adventures are hardly present. A nice Theme song and pleasing comic drawings alone are no longer enough. The Biggest Problem, however, is the measly playing time combined with a still incomplete Overall Product, where you can't even be sure if the last two Acts will be completed at all. Who doesn't mind, and who is interested in the Subject, is allowed to access it. It's fun if you like Point & Click adventures. Pro and Kontra: Pro:-reasonable degree of difficulty, you can handle the Game quite well on your own-good comic drawings for Cutscenes and character portraits-successful Themesong-fieser Cliffhanger makes You want more Neutral:-Standard Point & Click adventure gameplay without significant Ups and Downs-the Plot in Act I Doesn't get beyond crime standards counter:-very short Playing Time of about 3 Hours-remarkably inferior 3D character models-the wittless Auto chase guessing games really wouldn't have needed The full Review: http://www.gamecontrast.de/shadows-on-the-vatican-akt-i-gier-review/#more-61466
