A Sumo platformer. The main enemy of the main character-a ladder.
The Real miracle is an example of qualitative "import substitution", namely an unusual and beautiful indie-platformer, created by the Russian team with the use of the Russian game engine Unigine. An Inspiring example of the recognition of the developers was the cinematic series Trine (Michaelz) and Riddles Limbo (Volnes).
Platformer Mechanics At first glance is extremely simple. There is no weapon of a very large body weight of the main character, which being dispersed, can break the obstacles. The Sumo Wrestler is extremely pryguch and strong, but so thick that he is not able to climb. The world around is interactive and obeys even simplistic but constant physical laws. Even the fat on the belly of the character is in the right rhythm. But The simplicity of mechanics is absolutely not equivalent to the simplicity of passing (see
VVVVVV). Dive into the game should only fans of overcoming difficulties. At Times It is absolutely unclear how exactly this or that section of the path was passed-just lucky. I found myself through the Chur casualene, so faced after training with real difficulties looked passing on YouTube. But I know that there are people who like this kind of entertainment and Sumoman is guaranteed to provide them with many hours of this "happiness".
Depending on the number of rolls eaten scattered in levels, GG grows in ranks up to the Yokozon. Search and collection of rolls is absolutely optional, but can significantly complicate the passage.
In addition to the platform the world around is beautiful and musical. You can also play with a friend.
About The game is quite a Story, and for the platforming it is very not bad. Cinematic inserts revealing history, though not frequent, but rather amusing. The Game was created not in a vacuum, so it scattered a lot of Pashalok: from the mentioned already Trine and Limbo, to Assassin'S Creed and Prince of Persia. Developers have laid out a video of the process of recording the sounds of the game and it is extremely cognitive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZzzCivMbZ8 GNU/Linux as the game engine is used Unigine [www.unigine.com], there is no problem with the support of GNU/Linux, Although there are some unpleasant features.
I was unable to run the game on a laptop with the built-in Intel® HD Graphics 4400 video card. The Game started, sounds were audible, but the white screen was displayed. On a stationary computer with a video card Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 (closed drivers), the game started, and it turned out that the maximum resolution that can be set was 1280x1024 (SXGA), that is not even FHD. I Had to switch to windowed mode. In both cases, the Ubuntu 16.04 distribution was used.
