About

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series delivers a brand new story of the universe’s unlikeliest heroes, the rag-tag band of outlaws who go by the names Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of the Guardians has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, this five-part episodic series puts you in the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, told in the unique and award-winning Telltale style, where your decisions and actions will drive the path of the story you experience.
Includes access to all five episodes (Episode 1-3 available now, Episode 4-5 coming soon) in this all-new series from the award-winning studio, Telltale Games.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series reviews and comments

Telltale always with what I’ve played blow it out of the park with their episodic game series’s and Guardians of the Galaxy is no exception.

Having known that a new game was right around the corner I thought I’d play through the Telltale series. And it’s quite fun.

The guardians were well written, Drax was actually the funniest, the action is insane and the graphics were really good. Even the soundtrack was brilliant. I often catch myself now listening to Livin’ Thing. My only drawback to the game, was all this young Peter stuff. There was just way too much in my opinion. But other than that. I highly recommend this game.

Quite honestly, I love this Game. I am a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan and was then only all the more surprised how much the Characters resemble those from the Films by their Very nature. Apart from that, the Story is unique and really good. Plot Twists you didn't expect, Moments when you briefly lose your Hopes as well as moments when you can't get in for the laughter. Definitely one of my favorite Games.

This Time one of the better TellTale titles. The Animations are wonderful and the quicktime events are superbly placed and implemented. Guardians-typical there are Songs that get stuck in the Head and make you familiar with the Atmosphere. A Strip of emotion of any Kind. Humor is best served, but you have to be prepared to look a bit baff, to remain silent, to feel Pity or even to shed one or the Other Tear. If you like the Movies, you'll find your Fun here, too. TellTale has lived up to The Marvel flick. Clear Recommendation from me.

Telltale has once again managed to pack the Humour from the movie template "Guardians of the Galaxy" Into a great video game adventure. Even if you don't know the Movies, you can find something like the Game and you might even want to watch the Movies in Hindsight. The Story has succeeded and at no Time boring, so I had to devour all the Episodes one by one. The Characters have also been well implemented, although I find the Main Character "Star-Lord" quite strange-if you know the Films. ;-) All in all, I can only recommend the Title and would really be happy about a Sequel. If You have questions about the terse Review, just ask! :-)

Honestly, I can't understand the sometimes bad Reviews. The Game actually has everything you can expect from it. The Soundtrack in the Main Menu alone fits perfectly and ensures a good Mood. Graphically, the Game is really pretty by telltale standards and the Performance is very good. The Plot is very interesting and exciting packed and the Typical jokes for GotG are of course not neglected either. The Gameplay, on the other hand, well, anyone who has once played a Game of Telltale Will know that it is more of a kind of interactive movie/Series than a Game. Still, for me, it deserves a 9/10 after the first Episode. For every Fan of Guardians of the Galaxy, I Think highly recommended!
Five Word Review: Typically TellTale, enjoy the story.
Favorite Thing: Since the gameplay has become so copy & paste it all rides on the story. I really liked it, especially the back stories.
Least Favorite Thing: TellTale gameplay really needs to evolve.

Date Completed: 2018-05-12
Playtime: ~ 9h
Enjoyment: 8/10
Recommendation: If you like interactive movies then yeah, it's worth it for the story.
