WitchHand is a charming blend of deck-building, 4X strategy, and light city-building wrapped in a magical theme. You play as one of three witches, expanding your coven, managing resources, and defending against void creatures. While its addictive gameplay loop, beautiful art style, and flexible difficulty make it highly engaging, screen clutter and late-game balance issues can be frustrating. Still, it’s a polished, creative indie title perfect for strategy and card game fans who enjoy methodical planning.
Preserve is a serene yet strategic tile-based puzzle game where you build ecosystems using a deck of cards. Water tiles with rain or rivers, grow habitats, and populate them with animals like bees, wolves, and flamingos. Smart tile placement and card synergy unlock new land, cards, and bonuses. With four unique biomes (Continental, Savanna, Marine, Jurassic), each with distinct mechanics, Preserve offers Classic, Puzzle, and Creative modes. Visually, it’s stunning – hand-drawn tiles, gentle animations, and relaxing ambient music elevate the experience. The puzzle mode is challenging, while Classic mode encourages experimentation. Weekly challenges and achievements add replayability. With great performance even on Switch and educational depth via its compendium, Preserve is a standout cozy strategy game with soul. Highly recommended for fans of Dorfromantik and Terra Nil.
