About

Mankind has finally learned how to explore the outer regions of space using wormhole technology, but Man is not alone in the Void. Two other races are also exploring and exploiting the cosmos for its resources and living space: the Mantis, an insect-like race whose technology relies on large numbers of quick fleets, and the Celaerans, beings of energy cursed by their creators to spend their lives in strange, armored canisters. Expand your fleet, explore your universe, and crush your opponents!
Conquest: Frontier Wars features large-scale fleet battles, intelligent fleet admirals who serve under your command as hero units, and pulse-pounding deep space RTS Sci-Fi gameplay! Manage your supply lines while waging war in multiple maps simultaneously. Don’t let your fleets collapse because as the old maxim states: your fleet is your fate.
  • Oversee up to 16 interplanetary battle maps at once through the cunning use of wormholes.
  • Enter a new dimension of strategic possibilities with the supply line management system.
  • Command up to 6 highly intelligent fleet admirals who implement your orders, assess threats, and react with organized tactics.

Also includes Game Manual, Soundtrack, and Source Code in download.

Conquest: Frontier Wars reviews and comments

Conwuest: FW-a game from childhood. I am extremely glad that it is in the steam, because nowadays RTS is a rarity. The Game has a campaign in the ~ one and a half dozen missions, while the handle lead only in the first two, which pleases. The Plot needs a reading of the manual that accompanies the game to fully understand the political twists and turns, but is generally understandable without it. Also, he is surprisingly apolitical. Not only do You not have the light of democracy in the corners of distant space, but also when invading the enemy metropolis your admirals discuss the ethics of this step. The Game has three races: Earthlings, Mantiss and Solariane. The First-more or less standard users of heavy liner ships, with very impressive cruisers. Mantiss-space cockroaches, some of them will be on the side of Earthlings, so that the cliché with the evil horn is not observed. Their Fleet is the proud owner of three (!!!) aircraft carriers. Solariane-Energy forms of life, using light and fast ships, have the best protective platforms and 0 aircraft carriers. Separately, it should be noted sound, it is amazing, both in terms of voice and music. The Briefings are accompanied by regular inserts from terrestrial radio. Unfortunately, the main problem of the game is compatibility with modern Stysteami. In my case I am observing the non-playable state of Alt-Taba from the main menu. The FPN is in combat, but the alt-Taba is being treated. There is a possibility that the voice will be disconnected. I also heard about other problems. However, the game is beautiful and you should try it, especially for such a small price. Do not look at the time, for some reason, the stim does not notice my process.

The Game was brilliant for the Time and still has its Appeal today. Gameplay The Cards are generated procedurally, each "battle" game is different. You can freely choose the Number and Arrangement of the Systems. The Battle takes place on several System maps connected by Wormholes, each Party has its own Launch system as far away from the Others as possible. The Maps of the Campaign, on the other hand, are, of course, pre-designed. Each of the three Breeds has its Idiosyncrasies and Special Abilities. The explorable Improvements are by and large the same: Warp Strength, Shield strength, speed, Firepower beam and Rocket, Strength of the Swarm fighters (Carrier ship). In addition, Supply scope and Supply range. We are also there with a Special Feature of the Gameplay: The Ships have limited Ammunition, they have to recharge at Supply stations. The Construction of Repair Stations is also possible. The Stations-that is, all the "Buildings" of the Game-are built in Planetary Orbits. An Orbit has twelve Construction Sites, the Stations need 1-3 Construction Sites depending on the time. Resources are Ore and Gas and Personnel, which are needed to varying Degrees by the three Breeds, and can be "harvested" by different Dimensions by the types of Planets. Technique His great technical Strength at the time was to be able to reduce the Details of the Ships to such an extent that it was represented only with a single Polygon, as a flat texture. This allowed you to play wonderfully fluidly even on an old Win98SE computer. The Steam version now brings full HD support. On Wide Screen, the Instrument Area takes up a little too much Space for my Taste, but you can also set 5:4, looks wonderful, better than it used to. At First I was a bit irritated because the Mouse was bucking, but could be fixed by disabling the "DirectInput" Tick in the Settings. All in All, a beautiful Evergreen this Game, is always Fun, despite its Age not old. Not set too high even in the Normal Price, absolutely take it with you in the Sale.
