About

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III is a real-time strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment. This is the third part of the Dawn of War series.

Plot

The game is set in a dystopian vision of the future. In the universe, humanity developed a galaxy empire called The Imperium of Man.
The characters include human beings and monsters, such as the Eldar and the Ork races. The story starts at a lost planet called Acheron, where characters discover a deadly weapon called the Spear of Khaine. The Space Marines assemble at Acheron to find the deadly weapon. The main characters come from the main fractions, the Space Marines, the Eldar, and the Orks. The plot revolves around their interactions.

Gameplay

The gameplay is set from the third point of view; the player can shift the screen to see the whole stage. He is also able to choose for whose side to perform: the Space Marines, the Eldar or the Orks. In the multiplayer mode, it is possible to use various skins for each fraction.

Reception

After the previous game, Dawn of War II, the developers used innovative graphics details, graphics, and new items. The critics highly appraised the game. However, some players criticised it for focusing on multiplayer gaming mode instead of the classic real-time strategy mode.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III reviews and comments

This Game is good. You can confidently put It that way. The three Peoples play very differently, there are many Possibilities to fight the Multiplayer fights, the Elite System is pretty good and chic looks the whole thing as well. Likewise, the 17-Mission campaign is quite long enough, although some of them are likely to be a bit more exuor. But it's all there. Creeping Missions, Perseverance Emissions, Destruction missions, etc. Technically, it may take a few More Patches, the Performance sometimes slips into the Basement, but catches itself again every time. I play with a Fury X in 3840x2160 and can play on medium Details with 30-50 fps, but I have 5fps at Cutting scenes and with SEGAlogo throughout!? In Window mode (through the Taskmanager), however, the Scenes run Normally. The only thing you can accuse Dawn of War 3 is that it's not Dawn of War 1. Neither Did DoW2. Somewhat disappointing to me. This is particularly true of Multiplayer. DoW3 is fast, very fast compared to its Predecessors, especially Part 1. As fast as you have even integrated Shield Generators and Guns to take out a bit of Pace. But above all: Micromagment Wins. Unfortunately, you won't find fat battles like those in Dow1 here. They are big already, the Battles, but also fast. With the right Microagment At the right Time, you decide everything, some Skills are easy to much. Times when the Armies faced each other and slowly decimated each other are over here. Covers unfortunately no longer exist, no one would have the Time to do so. The Comparison to Starcraft is correct here. This Game seems to be designed for the Professional Players, People who just want to fight thick Warhammer40k battles come up short. A experienced Player with fast Fingers will always win against a not so fixed one. That's a real shame, as that's exactly what Dow1 made up and that's why it's still so popular. Dawn of War 3 excludes many Players outside the Fight. It starts slowly, the Player cancelling the Game if they can't conquer the desired Point. A Skirmish against the AI is possible, but the Elite Units don't seem to be rising in the process. This leaves the single Player, frustrated by the Multiplayer, for achieving The skills at a higher Level or additional Colors for the Editor, but which runs Linear, so it has less Replay value. I'm really hard pressed with the Assessment. This Game definitely deserves a Recommendation. However, in 2-3 Months, when only the best and most ambitious Players will play the Multiplayer and all the others annoyed throw in the Towel the Game will be forgotten. The coming Necrons will not change that either. No Dawn of War deserved that, nor did a Part 3. Since I am not a Game Tester and I judge here according to my own Taste, I will not issue a Recommendation. But each of the quick Reflexes has and it is equipped after competitive Challenges is in good hands here. Or stop at Starcraft;-) I would like to remind Relic here that one of the most popular Cards at Dow1 was the one where you got beaten by a Point. In the Middle of the Map. It was just a Material Battle, but People thought it was great. Why do you ignore something like that? Did it necessarily still have to be an ESL game? Maybe everyone would be helped with a Dawn of War 1 Remaster.
