About

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2 is a tactical RPG in the science-fictional setting. The sequel to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, the game follows its tendency to simplify strategy aspect and focus on battles. So, base building is removed; instead, you can explore locations and kill various monsters.
The game's story places you in the middle of the war on the desert planet Calderis. While helping another group, your Space Marines squad is attacked by Orks. This battle starts a whole string of missions, which the campaign mode consists of. The plot had several endings; unlike in previous games, here you need to pick units up before the fight and can't change them later.
Dawn of War 2 extends the series’ role-play features. You can choose from four races and form armies of six different squads. Every race and squad has its own characteristic. The game also places a heavier focus on weapons and cover with improved physics, additionally making the experience more realistic in a way fights between huge mechs can be.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II reviews and comments

multiplayer is fun, and the single player campaigns are neat
Fun and fast game for those that dont have hours of time setting up bases.

Too much focus on the usual Space Marines tho.

To this day, The best Warhammer implementation in the Genre. I still play now and then above has 5 Years under my Belt. Hope the Sega Relic Finally lets you develop a Sequel. Too bad to let a successful Series lie Brach. Still playing it after 5 years, ' cause its still fun to play and best Warhammer Game in this Genre. I only hope Sega is going to let Relic Develop a new one. Sad to see such a good Studio and Series would not have a within continuation Sega.

This Continuation has little to do with its Predecessor, which we must not be allowed to do here, as it has a really good Concept. You have your "Heroes" and they have their own strengths and weakens and you can level everyone up at will. The Missions are very challenging On higher Difficulty and make a lot of fun, I would recommend this Game to anyone! There is also something from back then, besides the Campaign you can also build your Base as in the Predecessors and spam your Opponent with Units to death. There is also a little survival mode by having to survive 20 Waves. Here you can also make your own Hero together to get better, take Friends with you, sun-Sunst it's just a little Fun!

Successful and entertaining Strategy game with Role-playing Elements. The Video Sequences are typically Warhammer-like very epic. Unfortunately, the short Sequences are repeated more often, which disturbs a little. Who likes Image recycling. In addition to the Multiplayer PvP Part, which I only briefly alluded to, as it didn't really inspire me (And therefore not really into the Standings), there is a PvE Multiplayer in which you can use 3 Comrades-in-arms and only with your Hero against becoming more and more Neats to endure Waves of the Enemy. An entertaining but still very entertaining Mode, because you have different Heroes and can also play your Hero on different types. The Campaign is, to my opinion, the strongest Part, even if the Diversity of Missions leaves something to be desired. Some of the Maps are visited several times, which makes Sense for storytelling (reclaiming its Facilities), but unfortunately diminishes the Level Diversity. I would have been better affected by new Lvl throughout. Or maybe just Sections that are taken over and then new Parts that you can explore. Very well implemented is the Coop mode, where someone can play regardless of Campaign Progress and take over Half of the Units. Anyone can upgrade and equip their Units individually and send against the Opponents and the imposing (but unfortunately straw) Bosses. Worth a Look at the Sale for Strategy friends or Coopfreunds.
