Crysis Remastered reviews and comments
When I sat down to play this game I was remembering all the hype and all the memes about the original game on PC. How you had to have a computer from NASA to even run it on low settings. The game looks fine but I don't mind saying it plays like shit. First off, you walk extremely slow. When you want to go fast, there's only the hyper speed that the suit provides. On top of this, there is very little in the way of customization for controls and sensitivity. Very odd for a PC port in this day and age. Was pretty disappointed all around with the gameplay and variety of weapons early on. Later you get a bit more variety and more ammo for the Scar. The story is fairly forgettable but I do like the Predator inspired twist. The suit is very cool as well but it can't save the game. Another thing that I found funny was at the very end boss I died and lost all sound when I reloaded so the entire cutscene at the end was silent. A very fitting final. What I think people should do if considering this game is what I did, play Crysis 2 instead. I played 2 on PS3 when it came out and it's very good, it has the grace of being a sequel so I can hold that against the original but still 2 is superior in everyway and 3 is also good, though not as good as 2. Both remasters are available now so I'd highly recommend them over this.
