F-15 Strike Eagle
About
Select a mission and you are immediately transported into the sophisticated cockpit of an F-15 fighter, fully armed for combat and heading into enemy airspace at high-speed.
Developed by the legendary Sid Meier, F-15 Strike Eagle has been described as a “mega hit” and a “blockbuster.” It was named Computer Gaming World’s “Action Game of the Year” in 1985.
Much like Sid Meier’s earlier Command Series titles, the gameplay is based on real life missions flown by F-15 fighter pilots in the Middle East and Asia in the 1970s and 80s. Meier collaborated with Air Force pilot John W. “Bill” Stealy to ensure the game’s accuracy. F-15 Strike Eagle marries authentic combat simulation with arcade action for an incredibly satisfying experience.
Using your arsenal of missiles, bombs, and cannons to take out a variety of ground targets, if you can survive air-to-air combat from enemy fighters. Choose from seven missions, including strikes in Libya, Egypt, Iran and above the Persian Gulf in the Middle East, and strikes in Haiphong and Hanoi in Vietnam.
- Seven authentic missions, and infinite scenarios
- Four skill levels, including arcade for less-experienced pilots
- Heads Up Display (HUD), airborne radar, and ground tracking target display
- Air-to-air missiles, cannon and high explosive bombs
- Electronic countermeasures (ECM), surface-to-air missile indicators, chaff and flares
- Single-player
