About

Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition is a compilation that includes Galactic Civilizations II: Dread Lords and its two expansion packs: Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor. The game in its core is a 4X turn-based strategy with a heavy focus on sandbox aspect.
In this game, you have to lead Humanity, the youngest civilization, through the war between two major space powers, the Arnor and the Dread Lords. To succeed you need to protect important technologies from enemies, take part in space fights and survive the threat from stronger opponents.
The game allows customizing several parameters, including galaxy size, planets' habitability, creating your own civilization and spaceship designs, and features different ways to win the campaign. Additionally, a big part of the gameplay is dedicated to resource management, economics, and diplomacy, as they are the core of your civilization's development.
Expansions added fresh content to the game, such as new civilizations and maps, better graphics and several new abilities.

Game only in English, with an excessively arduous playability. Prefer Shogun total war, you will take your foot more. I'll drown it 10/20.

Will still be done about the game. Everything is in order at the German Normal version. Would be great if there were at least how shrill For all eurozone countries were Available

I recommend it for fans of the genre. Hard play (as was the big brother Galactic civilization first of the name), which will occupy you for long time, the biggest downside for me and the (English) language that brakes those wanting to get to the genre. It is not less enjoyable played.. I will note 14/20

Disclaimer: Bought years Ago and not played until now. 4X Game. Tutorial only based on Videos. --> imho outdated. Didn't find Access (possibly because I played "Civ V-Complete" Shortly before, which is much more user-friendly). Part 3 has been out and rated for a While ... Imho switched ...

I didn't really think I'd hang on to this spatial strategy game, and I finally enjoyed playing it and discovering the basic mechanics. But finally, after 6pm of play, the games repeat themselves and I never found the motivation to understand the most complex mechanisms of the game. It's still a good surprise for a game bought in bundle, but it probably exists better on the market.

I caught this game in a bundle. I was rather shared when I launched it the first time. Not very beautiful, even rather ugly. Let's say he's getting older... Complicated and difficult to handle. In English, but fortunately, we can easily find the patches in FR on the net. After a few hours of play, I started to hang. This game is a killing! Obviously you have to like strategy games and not be afraid to invest a minimum to understand the gameplay. I am at a 20 hours of play and I think I have discovered the 3/4 of the possibilities offered. It is rather enjoyable to control an inter-Galactic Empire, to manage its planets, its economy, boost its research, maintain alliances to finally concentrate on its fleets of military vessels in order to win the game! Not to mention the time that we can spend to build his different ships through a pretty damn Editor. To conclude, if you like space opera, strategy games a little more complex than normal and you have time to kill, try it! You will be pleasantly surprised after a 10 hours:)
