About

Lost Planet 3 is an action third-person shooter developed by Spark Unlimited. It is the first game in the Lost Planet series timeline.

Several colonists and miners are sent to a planet of E.D.N. III by a company called NEVEC. You play as a miner named Jim that works for NEVEC. All the mined resources are sent back to Earth. Jim unravels the secrets of the corporation Throughout the story.

The game features giant mining mech rigs that are upgradeable to some degree. Players can also upgrade their weapons and suit. In order to buy new upgrades, the players have to find specific parts and scrap that also can be bought. Using the mission-based mechanic, the game allows the players to go on completing the main quests or get some side-quests to help their comrades and gain some new equipment.

Throughout the game the players fight an alien race of Akrid. Akrids have thermal energy flowing in their veins instead of regular blood. That's why they can survive extremely cold temperatures on E.D.N. III.

Story exciting, Game after some Time monotonous. The Game can't quite convince as there's a certain Change missing. In the Third Person, the Camera looks at the Character, the Character "Jim" is strangely controllable on the Ice Planet EDN3, if you are not accustomed to it. Why strange? Jim Peyton stands in The direction of the Monitor and looks at us, showing the Pity in Correction opponents; Jim turns the other way for each Shot and turns back to us:) The Video sequences loosen up the whole thing and are also really well done, unfortunately after some Time the Game still seems monotonous, as the Opponents and Game Scenarios are constantly repeating themselves. No Doubt the Story itself is kept exciting. Also always impressive is the Mech, with which one moves over the ice planet in the ego perspective to perform Tasks. Why the P Button is pre-configured to unlock Audiologs and cannot be adjusted to E is not entirely clear to Me. I would like to see a Life Ad From the Opponents.

W.T.F. Equal to beginnings. The Game is not bad though ...-no comparison to Lost Planet 1 & 2. It just plays in the same Franchise. -one often feels like in a Dead space spin off. (jump scares, necromorph-acriden) coverage system?! ala GoW-RPG action survival "horror"-scifi-Thirdperson-shooter-with open world elements. -no story Co-op (only "horde" mode and pvp)-Intensivere Story-0% Arcade-much fewer weapons (are now at least)-quicktime events .. -funny Dialogues As I said the game is solid, but for all those who want to expect a game like Lost Planet 1 & 2: IS IT NOT. You don't become a "KAT. G AKRIIID (OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG). " Nor does you have a free order on the enterhooks. Also, you don't have VS suits, just sons mining mech (in which you feel like a Big Daddy) I'm rather sad that Game has become so different. You just hope all the time that someone gets involved and the more clenched goes:) Have spent over 300 Hours in LP2 and this is one of the best games ever for me.

LOST PLANET® 3 I can recommend to anyone who has four Hands. Somehow the Developers probably wanted to make fun of PC Players and always force them to take the Gamepad parallel to the Hand (E.g. "Turn WASD"). In addition, the Game constantly forgets some Keyboard Assignments. As a Result, I could not freely reload or collect Weapons and Ammunition. I better not write about the "Story" any more than that the Main Character was spontaneously unsympathetic to me. Since the Game is from the last Generation Of Consoles, the Graphics are unfortunately not really worth seeing anymore. The Levels are small and have comparatively long Loading Times. If I can still report anything Good, I will add to this here. So far, LOST PLANET® 3 seems to me like a bad Dead space. 2/5 After five Hours of Play: The Controls are still terrible. Constantly, the own Figure gets stuck somewhere when it's just run out. With the Gamepad you don't have these Problems. For this, the Story or the Game picks up Speed so slowly but is still maximum Average. In The End, the Game got me excited by the Fact that the Autosave Function had seemingly not worked for a good Hour (possibly because I went offline at some point last Time I played). Whether the Game has an ALWAYS ON Feature I don't want to check. If this is not the CASE, the SAVE Function is broken. Even Years after Release, the Developer didn't patch that. = > Fifth 5
