Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi is a first-person shooter with a mix of survival horror elements developed by Idol FX. The game is set in the nineteenth century. James Patterson is on his way to the wedding of his sister at the manor of a wealthy Romanian Duke. Upon arriving at the destination, James sees crosses nailed to the doors and meets a holy father who tells the protagonist that this manor is a home for vampires and the Pattersons are held prisoner. The objective of the player is to save every one of their family and fight back the vampires. At the beginning of every game, the rooms in the manor are generated randomly using several templates. The players are given some time to find a save a family member. Should the player fail, the game's boss will grow stronger. The more family of yours you save, the easier it will be to fight the final boss. Initially, the only weapons James has are a sword and bare fists, yet it is possible to find new weapons, such as firearms or classic vampire hunter weaponry later in the game. There are notes scattered around the manor which describe the monsters and how to fight them.

Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi reviews and comments

Classical review "Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi" is a First-Person horror shooter from 2003.1912. Our Sister got engaged and our entire noble family left for the Bridegroom's Castle to celebrate a proper Wedding. Stupid only that all our Family members have suddenly disappeared and are teeming with the Undead, Vampires and Spirits in the old Walls. So a Gun snapped, everything slaughtered and our Kinship freed. The Combat System is not complex. We can hardly protect ourselves properly in Melee combat and so you strike and withdraw immediately or prefer to rely on the safer Long-distance combat. The Choice of Weapons is typically adjusted. In addition to standard weapons such as Sword, Pistol or MG, we also have a Crucifix, Piles or Holy Water at the Start. In Boxes we find Ammunition or even health packs. They are always necessary against it, because we have only one life. However, we can do a limited Amount of Storage. We should not allow ourselves time forever for our Rescue Operation, because after a certain Time a Relative always involuntarily blesses the Temporal. If we Find a Family Member still alive, we have to Escort it back to the Courtyard, which can get annoying, because as in real Life, the humpy kinship likes to be endowed with its own incomprehensible Will. On our Journey, we not only meet a Lot of different Horror Viewers, but also Bosses who demand a special Tactic make life difficult for Us. In addition, the Castle with its sprawling wings is quite huge And quickly becomes confusing. To make matters Worse, with each Reboot, the Game replaces the Kinship and the Accumulating, such as Keys, in the same Area, but randomly replaces it within it. The Graphics, of course, are not outstanding with such an old Title. However, it was not at the Time of publication. For this, the Illumination has been successful and it is also really fluid. In General, the Atmosphere is a big Plus. This is particularly strongly supported by the Sounds, the Music and The setting. Fiently, the Game hardly takes Into account a balanced Volume. If it wants to scare, it pops in mercilessly and that can really scare, even if the quite fast Gameplay pace doesn't actually invite you to Horror. Technically, the Game is far from perfect, tends to Glitches or opponents get stuck. But these Weaknesses make up for it easily due to the untestoppingly great Horror mood. And even if I wish the Stress of a Timer, which would then trigger the Death of a Relative and would rather explore the old Castle More resting and careful, a Game of "Nosferatu" still makes a hell of a mood today. Rating: 8/10 Atmosphere 7/10 Story 6/10 Graphic 9/10 Sound 6/10 Game Mechanics 6/10 Balancing 7/10 Game Pass (technical Ratings always include the Year of Publication) Conclusion: Old and cross-fidel. 7/10 Overall Rating
