The terror of Resident Evil returns and spreads online. Resident Evil Outbreak puts you in the role as one of eight survivors of an outbreak caused by a secret biological weapon. With situations spanning the first three Resident Evil games, the choices you make during the game dictate your abilities and scenarios. Play cooperatively or competitively offline in single-player mode or online with up to four players. But be extra careful--once you die, you join the zombie ranks.

A groundbreaking but hidden gem of a multiplayer survival horror game. Resident Evil Outbreak was ahead of its time, offering a cooperative experience with eight unique characters and a real sense of dread from a T-virus infection meter. Clunky controls and tedious loading times hindered the original release, but its core loop of working together to survive was memorable. Alot is made up for this in its sequal. The fan-run Outbreak Server Resurrection community has lovingly restored the game's online functionality, allowing new and old players to finally experience the title as it is truly meant to be played.
