October 1917. The Bolshevik Revolution starts a tidal wave that will sweep the whole of the XXth century. But the birth of the Communist regime was not an easy walk, and it faced dozens of tough but often unknown oppositions which did their utmost to destroy it in its infancy, in an amazing conflict where a central side is attacked from all corners and directions.
Make the Reds side triumph to save the Soviet Proletarian revolution, or, on the other side, lead the Whites side to victory in order to place the old regime back in power and protect the countries of Europe, weakened by the Great War, from the perils of the revolution.

Having to play the first version, it is a great pleasure to put away deçus. Only cheek that gives you the chance to create a Soviet Union that already possessed all the other small country or even to remake the Polish campaign vs Russian or Polish beat the Red Army, historically true ^^.
No longer seriously it is a small marvel in strategic games and for any fan of history who wants to understand a little ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ the ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ the monstrous of this time and especially of this dark revolution! Usually I buy directly to the company on their site without going through steam.
I am a loyal of AGEOD and owns all their games.
AGEOD is a developer who has hugely inovated in the intimist middle of the historical wargame on PC.
Whether by the game engine, the aesthetics and the periods covered the French company has blown a new wind in my library.
As you can imagine I recommend the games to all the amateurs of the genre and the others...
I promise you will be enchanted by the experience.
Revolution under siege, in addition to tackling the Russian Revolution (just awesome adventurous grandiose etc...) is for me the most successful game after American civil war I (and the two of course).
I will not go into the details of the game that is already described in other reviews. But it is a game with a real challenge and inroyable depth. Which of course takes its full dimension in multiplayer (PBEM).
Now I will issue criticisms mainly aimed at designers (Philippe Thibaut in the occurence), which I hope will read these few lines.
I decided to buy RUS gold on steam to test and for also a little sponsor the company.
I could have as they proposed to improve my previous game with 5euros more.
The instability of the game and the constant crash are really a recurring problem of AGEOD's first generation game engine. I find it abnormal that RuS did not benefit from the notable improvements (aesthetic and stability) found in American Civil War II, this game for me is largely worth a real overhaul to further increase the playful experience and offer a game to the the height of a company that wants to evolve into the future.
