The Blackwell Legacy
About
When Rosa Blackwell's only relative dies after twenty years in a coma, she thinks the worst is over. This all changes when Joey Mallone, a sardonic ghost from the 1930s, blows into her life and tells her that she is a medium. Whether they like it or not, it is up to them to cure the supernatural ills of New York in this critically-acclaimed series of point-and-click adventure games.
When three NYU students kill themselves one after the other, nobody thinks that a sinister force is at work. Nobody but fledgling medium Rosa Blackwell and her new spirit guide Joey Mallone. It's trial by fire as they set these troubled spirits to rest.

Few Games offer such a gaming Experience of gripping profound Story, clever humor, meaningful And fun Gameplay, sympathetic Authentic characters and Addictive Character. Sleep was incidental as the end credits of each Part of the Blackwell franchise rolled in. Before you embark on the Journey of this fantastic Story, you can't even guess what you get on offer. You just have to get into it and be surprised. Some Features: * Puzzles with comprehensible Solutions * Great exciting Story (Ghosts are not an innovative Idea, but this Makes up for the Progress of the Story, so don't be deterred) * Atmospheric Still in Alternation between Tension and Relaxation * Great Characters with interpersonal Chemistry (especially in the second Part) * engaging and well-written Dialogues * The Story is complex and makes more And more sense across the Parts.
* Philosophical * Clear gameplay-Enough selection but no Pixel Search * The third Part of the Series offers a Tutorial with a casual and humorous entry into the Genre for those With less Experience in Operation.
* Retro Look, although the Game is from 2006: Homage to the old Point & Click Adventures, not disturbing when you are trapped in the Game world * Kurzweilig with about 6 Hours of Play time (--> in the Sale but absolutely affordable) * hint system included (--> Hardly necessary Walkthrough to consult) In short: Anyone who doubts that the Game delivers Fun and a compelling Story can be completely unconcerned. Just buy and play:)

"The Blackwell Legacy" is a classic Retro-style Point-and-click adventure and the Beginning of the Blackwell series.
Rosangela Blackwell, also called Rosa, is a small Local reporter at a New York Magazine. And she, like some of her Ancestors, is not always quite stable psychologically. One fine day, the Spirit Of the family Appears to her, who has already driven some of the Family mad and reveals to her That she is a medium and now has it on the heels, because it is necessary to help other Spirits who have been stuck in the Intermediate World. Not exactly rosy Prospects for Rosa.
The Gameplay is quite typical Point-and-Click. On Screens, we inspect Items, collect them and pack them into our Inventory and talk above all else with all sorts of And impossible NPCs. At its Core, the Game works like a Detective Story. For This we have our Notebook, in which we can combine individual Hints and thus reach new Conclusions.
The rather linear story unfolds in a dramaturgically sensible and skillful Way and always remains exciting through endearing or annoying Character drawings. Amazing that the Game strikes a narrow Degree between Irony and Seriousness so purposefully. With Wit and Sarcasm, very serious and bitter Topics are also dealt with, without the Game ever making a mockery of these Issues.
The Graphics and Stylistics are a remotely reminiscent of old LucasArts titles. Everything is consciously pixelated, reduced and retro. This creates a wonderfully nostalgic Charm that adds a lot to The fun Of the Game. The (English) Synchronization is mostly strong, the Characters are partly patchy and foul humor and the Speakers meet the individual Attitudes adequately. It is Incomprehensible, however, that the Recordings do not come across technically in a sophisticated way. A pop protection would have been a perfectly sensible Investment.
The Biggest Criticism may be the Length of the Game. In just two Hours you can be through. However, "Blackwell Legacy" was always planned as the Start of a Game Series and so you can understand the various Blackwell titles as a big episode adventure overall.
Great Figures, intelligent History, lots of wit without being silly. An Unquestionably recommended little Old-school Adventure.
