Fantastic co-op - very creative!
Journal Style Review:

Strange opening. The book of love was very unexpected. The first vacuum level was decently fun though. This should be a stoned game though. Saving for stoned nights with Mel.

I would play more but Mel isn’t in to it and with Frankie it’s a tough sell. Maybe I will return in the future if Mel is down but probably not.

And we’re back. Had a very fun Sunday morning playing this. The puzzles are clever.

I liked it for a bit but then it began to drag on and I just wanted it to be done. It’s absolutely ridiculous this game won game of the year. It shouldn’t have even been nominated.

Final Score: B
My Game of the Year so far. Endlessly creative and incredibly fun to play, making co-op actually engaging and enjoyable.

This game shouldnt exist. Its a glitch in the matrix of AAA, low effort, cash grab corporations.

A charming, delightful and surprising adventure at every turn. Multiple games in one, with plenty of different visuals and mini-games to keep you entertained. Just the isometric mage-warrior fighting minigame alone was more interesting then the entire Magicka franchise.

Spectacular lightning and enviromental effects, combined with near perfect controls and you will feel immersed in a fantasy world that borrows, homages and even makes fun of the classics.

This is the new king of couch co-op and we waited long for it. All hail Hazelight.

Contender for game of year 2021 and worth twice the price.

Just an absolute delight all around. The creativity on the different mechanics, mini-games, and challenges just keep it so fresh. And what a deal with the friend pass. This really made me miss co-op in games and hope for more great things from this studio.

Josef, it takes two creator, promised that he would give 1k dollars for anybody that doesn't like the game. After finishing It takes two, I feel that I own Josef 1k dollars for this amazing masterpiece.

This game took my words after finishing it, it's a true experience about love, life choices and caring about each other. The game tries to teach you a lot of things, but each of them carefully, trying at it's best to not mess with player experience. This isn't just a game, but also a learning process.

I recommend this game for everyone, I hope Josef keeps doing this amazing job, I'm in love <3

After completing the game, I caught myself thinking that the more you play it, the more you don't like it. The first impressions were extremely encouraging, a nice picture, cool animations, an unusual plot, but this terrible book and the tomfoolery of seemingly adults spoiled the impression of the game.

Onn the one hand, the variety of abilities and mechanics greatly diversifies the game, on the other hand, because of this, the visibility of progression is completely lost. I can throw nails, but no, they are gone. Look, I can freeze enemies, but no, it's for 20 minutes.

Due to the cutscenes, when parents constantly grimace after an hour of play, there was a desire to skip all the chatter in order to quickly return to the gameplay. And just the gameplay is what made me finish the game, although we were often bored and wanted to interrupt the game session, it still turned out to be fun. But for us personally, the game seemed too childish, there is no challenge, for example Trine (1, 2, 4) and Tiny Brains, in this regard it is much better. Local puzzles cause only laughter, because the developers have kindly set everything so that the poor player does not have to turn on their brains.

The soundtrack is beyond praise, it is beautiful.

II rate this game 7/10.
