Games for Nintendo DS

Nintendo DS is Nintendo’s fourth major portable game console. Released as a successor to the company’s Game Boy series of portable game consoles, DS used a clamshell design, similar to the Game Boy Advance SP. The main feature of the console was its dual-screen display with the bottom screen being touch-sensitive. The console included a stylus for more precise touchscreen input and used the wireless connection for local and online multiplayer in specific titles. The Nintendo DS was a massive success for the company and as for 2018 is the second best-selling game console of all time Three Nintendo DS titles – New Super Mario Bros., Nintendogs and Mario Kart DS sold more than 20 million copies. During its lifespan, it had several redesigns: more compact version and ergonomic DS Lite, DSi that featured preinstalled browser, camera, and online game store, DSi XL, the version of DSi with bigger screens. The original DS and DS Lite were backward compatible with Game Boy Advance games.
