About

Eva Rosalyn and Neil Watts give people a chance to live their lives "one more time" - they are operators of the machine capable of penetrating into the human consciousness and rewriting memory, fulfilling unrealised dreams in minds.
However, they do this only for those who are close to death, because such manipulation irreversibly cripples the body.
Their dying client now is old Johnny. First, doctors learn from his memory his past to find out why before his death he wants to fulfil such a strange desire - to go to the Moon.
Then there is a strong story about meetings and partings, about promises and losses. It ends well, but only in the patient's memories.
The gameplay consists of the study of small locations, the solution of simple puzzles and long, saturated dialogues. All this becomes fascinating thanks to the elaborated plot.

To the Moon reviews and comments

Everything is just great. The story is one of the best I have ever experienced in gaming.
«Blew my mind»
«That ending!»
“To The Moon” is one amazing story game. I can’t believe it was made in RPG Maker. Again, this shows the engine can create great games. Unlike “Finding Paradise”, there are more “game-y” aspects, like puzzles, and I was stuck at some points. However, I keep on, since I wanted to know how the story end. It’s also rare to have an autistic character in gaming, so I was cool with River. Yes, the story does have some bits I liked less (some dramatic events only for more drama!) but overall, I had a good time with “To The Moon”. Recommended with “Finding Paradise” and “A Bird Story”.

To the Moon. A Game that touches the Heart. A Friend of mine recommended this Game to me and gave the Accompanying advice that I should best play it on a quiet Evening. After a long Postponement, I took my Time for an Evening and played-To the Moon-. At First, the sometimes cumbersome game Mechanics clouded the Gaming experience, but after a short Acclimatization and the rapid Drift into History, this no longer came to Great weight. -To the Moonis not a Game that gains its Fame through elaborate Graphics or sophisticated Game Mechanics. Rather, and with Bravur, it's the Story that catches you quickly and, through empathetic Fashion, lines the Way to your Feelings. At this Point, I don't want to list any Content and analyze each Passage individually, after all, you should explore the Story yourself and build your Thoughts on it. I Would rather focus on the Effect of the Content in general. The basic Prerequisite for a deep Gaming Experience is to engage with History and give your Thoughts and Feelings enough freedom. For a short daddel break in the Office, the Game is definitely not suitable. I found it fascinating how intensely the Story could grab me after all. At First, the Gaming Experience was still rather flat, which means that I was still smirking here and there or gave my Thoughts time to develop for a short time without drifting too much. But as playing Time Grew, the Train of thought Grew deeper and the Emotions more intense. You build Bridges to your own Memories or Experiences, you become more considered, you rejoice in the Highs, you feel the Heaviness in the Lows. It was not Uncommon for me to find it difficult to preserve the Version in some Places. I think the crucial Point here was the Nature of Storytelling. During The Course of the game, one experiences the profound and poignant Development of a Person from early Childhood to the Deathbed. This "living With (he)" provides the Player with an unfathomable Closeness, which quickly becomes noticeable in Empathy. But before I digress into melancholy Philosophies and You spend the Time here needlessly reading the Text, You should just buy the Game, wait a quiet Moment and experience yourself. I promise You: It's definitely worth it.

I am 27 years old and have been fond of video games since I was 6. I really played a lot of games and of any genre: from small indies from a few euros like this, up to 70 euro jocks with exorbitant productions behind them, from graphic adventures to role-playing games. Often in a video game I get excited, of course, but NEVER as much as in this game. The first time I played it I cried in some places. The second time, however, I cried from beginning to end. I can say with joy that To The Moon is my favorite video game ever. Pi of Red Dead Redemption. Pi of The Witcher. Pi of The Last of Us. More than any other. If you don't cry while playing To The Moon, I hope I never know you.

Let's face it: if you expect to play, you will be disappointed. To the Moon more in interactive graphic experience, and the gameplay useful only to the completion of the plot and to favor the identification. Identification that succeeds perfectly, in a moving and, I would say, delicate story in every point. All well written, from the main story there are nice little curtains between the two playable characters.  a story that knows how to make people think, but that in general cannot leave us indifferent. All accompanied by an incredibly immersive and touching OST. All that remains is to wait for the follow-up porting to iOS, as well as to congratulate Kan Gao and his collaborators. 5 are just a tiny recognition for a beautiful job.

The game is simply a form of art, nothing less! I went through it all in one go and cried my soul out of my body. Even if it only takes a bit more than 5 hours, I would have paid 30 for the game in retrospect. However, one should not see it as a role-playing game (JRPG), but rather as a story being told. From me, they could also let out all the gameplay elements, that would not have spoiled the game. In some places, the controls were admittedly a bit hakelig, but that's just because of the port to the iPad, which is otherwise unprecedented. Anyone who does not rate this game with 5 stars simply did not play the game or had no heart (or ran into the game with the wrong expectation). Absolutely great, what an indie developer has done here. Thank you. I just read that a direct second part was announced! I can hardly believe it. He is called "Finding Paradise" and will appear on December 14, 2017 only on the PC. Six years after the original release. I'm going to go through this very much and then play the other games of X.D. Network.
