A great way to learn architecture. I found it very interesting to read the history of building foundations from the pop-up notes on the screen. It was as if I had been on a tour of medieval Florence, Tuscany, Venice and other places in Renaissance Italy. And Jesper Kyd's soundtrack was a great addition to this atmosphere of exploration.

Infinity and cyclicality. These feelings were with me throughout the game. The boy's determination and courage instilled hope and interest throughout the adventure. It seemed like this game would never end, and when the end came, it felt like my journey was starting all over again.

This DLC for the game «The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion» offers players to immerse themselves in an absurd and unpredictable world. The new flora and fauna, as well as the maximum atypicality of the surrounding world, make the journey through the «Shivering Isles» exciting and unique. Just think of the opening scene with butterflies. Everything here breathes with organic life.

Caves and forts scattered throughout the island add diversity to exploring the world. They are executed in a completely different style than in the old world. The caves here are essentially burrows under the roots of trees, and there are plenty of them. And the forts resemble abandoned palaces, filled with numerous traps and new inhabitants.

I believe that to fully immerse oneself in the atmosphere of «Shivering Isles», a separate soundtrack was needed that would correspond to the strange and wonderful world, as the classic one simply doesn't fit.

This addon to «TES IV» offers players a unique and unpredictable world, completely different from the «Cyrodiil» we explored before.
Weak plot compared to the first part: Although «Mafia II» offers an interesting story about the rise of the main character Vito Scaletta in the criminal world, the plot falls short in depth and intrigue compared to the first part. At times, the story seems superficial and less impressive.

A lot of driving and lack of taxis: There is an abundance of driving around the city. Unlike some other open-world games where you can use taxis or other fast travel options, there is no such option in «Mafia II». This makes traveling between missions more drawn-out and sometimes tedious.

Long-winded storytelling: The storytelling in the game is stretched out. Despite the captivating atmosphere and well-crafted world, the long intervals between significant events can be tiresome. Sometimes it feels like the game is artificially prolonged to extend the playtime.

No attachment to the characters: One of the main strengths of the first part was the charismatic and well-developed characters that players quickly became attached to. In «Mafia II», despite decent acting and quality dialogues, the characters do not evoke the same emotional attachment.

In conclusion, despite these issues, it still remains an important part of the series and interesting for fans of the crime drama genre.

As a kid, I spent a lot of time in Sims 2. I loved doing interior design. Matching wall colors to flooring or choosing chair upholstery to carpet. The characters' attitudes didn't bother me as much, but I loved to mess around with the choice of looks.

"Sims 3" appealed to me as an open world. It doesn't have the isolation that the previous installment had. The characters now interact with the city. Whether it's going to the neighbors or the gym, the park or the beach by the ocean. Town residents also age, move, have children, and die at the end of the life cycle.

The wish system has been improved. Now we can choose the wishes we want to fulfill from those offered.

Quests have also been added, which set the interest in the game and give motivation to learn the necessary skill to perform.

I liked the expanded interior design, though, as well as the ability to rotate objects 45 degrees. The ability to combine objects and create new interior ideas is increased.

The only downside is the lags. The game came out very powerful for its time and poorly optimized. As a result, there are problems even on powerful PC builds.

A shooter or just a horror game? For me, I always liked this game for its melancholic atmosphere and gray tones.

Great graphics for its time, which looks great even now. The level design is top notch. In the truest sense of the word. The gigantism in which all of the buildings are designed. You really look at them and feel. You realize that once there was a great civilization, but now there are ruins.

Everything in its place. The game really opens up on the "Insane" difficulty. When you weight every action and appreciate every cover. Shoot without sticking out. Giving commands to your mates. All this turns into a tactical shooter and spins the game.

I personally passed the game solo on "Insane", which made me sweat, but the goal justified the means. The harder the goal is to achieve, the more you still appreciate.

A wonderful game of the golden era 00's.

A gloomy couple or fellow travellers?

This story is about two opposites who had to work together. The game is well directed and looks like a movie. Some of the scenes are just masterpieces.

Personally, I loved Kane's flashbacks when he was out of commission. His memories and reflection on the mistakes he made in the past that won't let him go. After a moment, they are interrupted by a shot of adrenaline from Lynch and then Kane gets up through the white fog continuing the fight.

Separately, I want to mention the composer. Jesper Kyd has created a unique Soundtrack that lends itself perfectly to this game.

A walkthrough is highly recommended.

Potion Brewing:
It was not just an additional task but a unique gameplay element that added diversity to the gaming experience. Each potion required a specific set of ingredients and the correct execution of certain steps to achieve the desired result. The player had to carefully follow the instructions and react correctly to changes in the brewing process, creating a sense of achievement from successfully creating magical potions.

Duels:
They were a way to test your spells in battles with other students. While some duels might have seemed too simple due to repetitive button pressing, they still required tactical thinking and quick reactions. Players had to choose the appropriate spells for attack and defense and anticipate the opponent's actions to emerge victorious. Duels added an element of competitiveness and excitement to the gameplay.

Exploration Elements:
Players were given the freedom to roam around «Hogwarts» and its surroundings, allowing for a deeper immersion into this universe. We could discover hidden secrets, complete tasks for characters, and explore various locations. This added elements of adventure and exploration to the game.

These aspects together created an engaging gaming experience that allowed for a deeper immersion into the lore of the «Harry Potter» universe.

I remember the vanilla «Team Fortress 2» when I played it in the summer of 2009. I recently stopped by to see what happened to it.

«TF2» stands out among other shooters with its variety of game modes, offering players a wide range of options, from classic capture the flag to the «Horde» mode, where players need to unite their efforts to repel waves of enemies.

The weapon and class modification mechanics add depth and flexibility to the gameplay, allowing players to adapt to different situations and develop their unique strategies.

Special attention in «TF2» is deserved by thematic maps and events, especially holiday ones, such as Halloween. They not only diversify the gameplay but also immerse players in the unique atmosphere of the holiday, adding elements of humor and naivety to the game.

These events are a vivid example of how developers know how to amuse and surprise their audience, creating unforgettable and fun moments in the game.

The humor and naivety inherent in this game create a special atmosphere where even the most tense battles are transformed into a fun and exciting spectacle.

The game is immortal.

The best part of CS, at least for me. I remember buying a disc of this game back in 2006, but I couldn't install it because I didn't have internet at the time.
At the time the Source engine seemed like something unbelievable. Ragdoll and the physics really hit me after the games where all the items fall according to a written script.
Personally, I like this part for its minimalism. There are no cases and no skins. Just the flight of the Source engine.

«PVK II» is filled with humor that makes every battle even more fun. If you’re looking for a game that will test your reflexes and strategic thinking, while also making you laugh to tears, this is your choice.

I love this game for its minimalism.
There are really no powerful explosions and action like in «Call of Duty». It's a completely different genre.
It's a leisurely progression from point to point with shootouts in alleys, fighting for every meter of territory. A game of the golden age of the «Source» engine popularity, which still looks decent.

With this mod I became acquainted in April 2008. I was very pleased with its appearance.

At that time, from the medieval multiplayer games I knew only «Mount and Blade». There was also an MP mode in «Dark Messiah of Might and Magic», but it was a fantasy game with magic. Thirteen years later we have several analogues.

I believe this mod set the bar for such projects like «Chivalry: Medieval Warfare» and «Mordhau».

A cool simulator where, unlike other zombie games, you don't have to kill them, but to tactfully shoot back, move around, and build barricades.

From the first minutes you notice how important ammunition is. They are almost non-existent and every bullet is worth its weight in gold. The game also has a system of perks, which essentially forms a semblance of classes. Each perk improves a certain skill of your character.

In general, the team with experienced players can stay alive for a very long time. It is also possible to play as a zombie. A good mod with a bias towards realism.

Even though the game is presented in 2D format, it still has recognizable elements and characters that make it appealing to fans of the original game. Like «TF2», there are 9 different classes available in «GG2», each with unique abilities and play styles.

One of the key elements of the game is its multiplayer mode, which allows players from all over the world to battle each other.

Overall, «Gang Garrison 2» is a great 2D game that successfully brings the elements and fun of «Team Fortress 2» into a simpler and more accessible form.
South Korean version of «Counter-Strike».

The events of the game unfold in a fictional world, offering players to battle each other in several modes. We have the typical destruction of the enemy team, there is a mode for destroying a specific structure, there is sabotage, and so on.

The graphics in «Point Blank» are frankly outdated. It feels like the developers haven't updated it since the game's release.

As for guns and melee weapons, the game has no problems with that. The project features all modern models of weapons, including melee weapons.

Optimization in «Point Blank» is also fine. Over the years since its release, the authors have been able to polish the technical part, and honestly, there's nothing in the shooter that could, at least in theory, require high-end hardware.

There is a lot of donations in the game, although spending real money in this game is really not necessary.

I encountered this game in 2009 when, basically, it was the golden age of MMOs, and the market was just filling up with various games of this genre.

However, I didn't spend much time in it. Probably played for a month or more. But my friend played for a year, and, I think, in a year only approached reaching the maximum level at that time. This was typical for Asian MMORPGs.

Races:
Each race has several classes to choose from. The number of races and classes constantly changes with the release of new patches.

Activities:
The game offers its players a variety of activities. From completing simple and monotonous quests to full-scale and large-scale clan battles for territory. Leveling itself is calculated for a very long period because sooner or later, upon reaching a certain level, simple quests simply become insufficient. After that, the player has nothing left but to perform tons of monotonous daily tasks, turning the game into a routine.

Balance:
The balance in the initial versions of «Perfect World» can be considered very well thought out. You were offered a choice of 3 races, with 2 classes for each. All these classes complemented each other perfectly in PvE and exploited the weaknesses of each in PvP. Werewolves here acted as tanks, Priests were healers, and Warriors were the best supports. The other classes (Archers, Druids, and Mages) were DPS, built on different types of damage and various elemental skills.

Leveling:
Another thing that needs to be balanced in a game (especially in an MMO) is leveling. As I mentioned earlier, in the early versions, leveling could easily take several months or more. However, more modern versions of the game, on the contrary, are characterized by much simpler leveling. Many quests have been significantly simplified, greatly reducing the requirements for completion. Where before you had to kill 30 monsters, now there are only 5 left.

Publishers have to boost monetization to maintain revenues at the same level in the face of audience churn. As a result, we get a gaming world where it's practically impossible to exist without periodically investing real money.

Nevertheless, remembering the game, I remember, first of all, the people I played with. And that's appealing.
