9/10 - It's the perfect modernization of the original without forced ads, or microtransactions. Great remixed OST.

Picked it up for free on the epic games store and was pleasantly surprised. First the good. The look is gorgeous, a mixture of steam punk and art deco/Jugendstil, the sets are great to look at and theres a surprisingly high level of detail - the lighting works well to build the atmosphere. The storyline is also good, I enjoyed the characters, thought the voice acting was decent. I found the mixture of mystery and horror to work quite well. Now the bad- it is essentially just a walking simulator - theres very few threats in the game bar a few set chase sequences and they don't last all too long, for the most part though you can look around the world unhindered. I'd had higher hopes for the puzzles as well, theres not all that many and of the few there are, they don't exactly present much of a challenge.
All in all I enjoyed it, I wouldn't pay all that much for it though as I cannot see myself coming back to it.

As someone who has played the original this game is unbelievably AMAZING. The story is right on point. The character visuals is outstanding. The character feelings and having a sense of real genuine compassion. Square has truly outdone themselves. This game has more than once brought tears to my eyes. The battle system is amazing they did amazing with making the new materia system fit just like the original . The lighting they did phinominal. I dont know if there is ana academy award for light but if there is this game gets it 100%.I am truly obsessed. It is just amazing all around. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The wait was well worth it. 100/10 in my opinion

I get the disappointment with the lack Episode 3 now because this really raised the stakes, but it feels like too little too late. Episode 1 was kinda treading water and it took five other games (if you include Gearbox spin-offs) to make good on G-Man actually being a real presence, but he really really is now. Also that last section is kind of a weird thing to introduce so suddenly and then end and it wasn't even that great. But oh well, Valve still makes solid games.
A game that came like ten to fifteen years too early for what it wanted to do. It's one thing to get past the weird targeting system and extended tutorial and stilted dialogue, but the gameplay loop of "go back to your hideout to pick up a quest but - TWIST - you pick if you want to do it as a good guy or bad guy. Which is of course in a very video game way: are you a murderous sociopath for no reason or a selfless boddhisattva. And the world just needs to be remade from the ground up. Narrow corridors separated by boring loading screens and sometimes a crossroads to mix things up. Everything else aside, a consequence-heavy WRPG with at least some focus on exploration and sidequesting doesn't work with a world laid out like this.

This game kills you with boredom and bad gameplay and controls.
While i give the game the highest rating on this website, its still an 8/10 for me.
If it weren't for that ending i would probably say 10/10 because the effort involved with the first 95% of the game, is incredibly detailed and fantastic.
I dont know what to say, i mean the original game is still lightyears ahead in terms of comparing the two but the strong points of the FFVII Re-imaginion (not remake) are clearly the amazing depths to the characters, the graphical upgrade obviously and the battle mode. The game also includes new game plus and plenty of challenges and things to do.

Honestly i wouldnt criticise this game at all if it weren't for Nomura's stupid time travel, alternate timelines/universes ideas and how burned out the man is from doing so many projects for Squeenix. His desperate attempt to ruin Kingdom Hearts and adding that ingredient to this game as well, which was painfully obvious since they released it last year and he hasnt caught a break since, is too prevalent in this game. It doesn't belong in FFVII and the game is perfect until that ending where you're thrown into Goku/KH3 fiesta bullcrap with a Darkside boss etc. But he still hasnt ruined FFVII but he could very well do that now since Zack and the Avalanche gang will all most likely be revived, Aerith might die in a different way than usual but Cloud will time travel and save her with Zack or something (Which obviously would suck)
There's so many ways that looks like Nomura is gonna annihilate the FFVII project, just like he has done with Kingdom Hearts after 2010.
The worst part is obviously that Dragonball nonsense prevalent in KH where no one can die and people that were actually dead or hidden were all brought to life because of time travel and empty vessels addition, that there is no risk anymore, because only the bad guys might die, thats just his plan to do with each storytelling he apperantly needs to be at the helm of.
And i was afraid Nomura bring something like that to FFVII, which he has already introduced which is very concerning.
Anyway that being said, everything else is incredible and i cant wait to see the next parts, it looks like the Whispers have been destroyed which is a great thing, only thing they did was tone down the experience of the amazing cutscenes. Best FF since 2006, been quite some time since i was this impressed, now particularily where there hast been a good KH game since 2008 or something, its quite refreshing to see Squeenix still accomplishing something this big.
Too bad Sakaguchi wasnt more involved though, see that would've been the best game in the last 20 years on the planet.

I love how DOOM Eternal kicks it up a few notches from the last game. There's a few changes I think are questionable, but overall I like how things are more complex. You really gotta work your way into becoming a bad ass and it's so rewarding when you get on that level.

Favorite Thing: Great, fast-paced combat and an interesting enough story to keep me going.
Least Favorite Thing: The Marauders, by far. "Let's take our fast paced game and slow it down by making an enemy where you have to stand still in just the right place". Brilliant.

Recommendation: If you like shooters, it's better than most. If you don't like shooters, it's still worth a try.
Favorite Thing: Really fun roguelite with enough progression and story to keep me interested. It's also simple enough for novice gamers.
Least Favorite Thing: Weak ending, story-wise. They threw out the entire reason why the Mountain King and Rea split.

Recommendation: There's something to enjoy even for those of us that don't like rouge-likes.
Overall a good game.
I particularly enjoyed the pace of it, the urgency of Jill's last escape can really be felt by the players, the game mechanics and controls are quite flawless and visually RE3 remake is just gorgeous.
Unfortunately the game is just too short for its price and for its own good, there is no way around this fact, enormous areas from the original were completely removed and the ones that made the cut felt somehow generic and uninspiring.

If this game had came out for half the price and as a DLC that would be golden and worthy of praise, but as a full game (and specially after what Capcom have done with the remake of RE2) is just, well... a good short game.
