The only entry point for MGS, Naked Snake's story remains a standalone gem in a series that spans hundreds of hours and boasts an impossibly large lore. And one of the few games I consider perfect in every way.

Man oh man. What a game. Hollow Knight has slowly progressed through the ranks of gaming's most prestigious experiences and for good reason. It can be hard to find much wrong with this game, It is a satisfying adventure from start to finish, Every endeavour has an exciting reward at the end. The entire world is haunting and oppressive yet offers moments of melancholic bliss as the knight takes a moment to catch his breath on a nearby bench. The combat is sturdy and satisfying. Once fully upgraded you become quite versatile but never overpowering and you can easily be outmatched by starting area foes if you become too cocky. The lore is exciting and in depth. Yet the game keeps some of it's biggest mysteries a secret. Inviting speculation and never letting you learn the world to its fullest.
You never feel in control of Hallownest. It remains threatening and foreboding even after jumping into the opening well for the 60th time. It's also important to mention the games soundtrack which is quiet and beautiful and confident and charged at the right times. It remains some of the most encouraging OSTs ever developed and it eggs you on from the sidelines. The story although basic is clever and original. I especially liked the cast of side characters that you find in each side area and follow you throughout the story til it's natural conclusion. The areas are also beautiful and varied and each pack an impressive vary of enemies that tell stories in themselves.

A criminally underrated game that while lacking the polish it deserves has such a creative charm that you keep playing to see where it will take you next. Then it takes you to one of the greatest twists I've ever seen and evolves the story in unexpected ways with genuine character growth.
What stands out to me the most about Dishonored is how Arkane Studios managed to create an incredible story and world that is alive and complex and then create a masterful stealth game that is jampacked with innovation that the genre has never seen and finally create a challenging gameplay system that slowly ramps up over the course of the game and never makes the player overpowered.
We all remember riding into Mexico as the guitar strums pick up into Far Away by Jose Gonzalez. We all remember how liberating and uncharted Mexico felt and we all knew how picturesque it felt regardless of the time of day or weather. John exhaustedly hauling himself through sheer will towards a foreign land just to get back his family and redeem his past is a story so memorable that it is timeless.

The latest Grand Theft Auto game continues to have it's name driven further and further into the mud by it's online counterpart's predatory practices but the singleplayer remains as unapologetic and purely fun as it ever was. The game is an explosive heist movie that encourages destruction but knows when to tone down the wackiness and insert some real character moments. You can say what you want but the fact that I know Los Santos's downtown district and Bay Area better than I know my own city's streets despite living here my whole life is testament to its greatness.
My personal choice for the greatest videogame ever made as of 2020. Not only is the Van Der Linde gang's saga, An utterly heartbreaking slow death, But it is one written which such poise and consideration that it remains burned into my mind to this day. It is a game that against all odds is utterly uncompromising in it's vision and scope and the world that you will inhabit and the stories you will experience will be folktales in your gaming portfolio for years to come.
It often feels restrained and realistic. You will find yourself giddy for a heist, and then tapping your feet aching to get out of danger for the sake of your gang members. You have such a raw connection to them through learning them like a book as you progress through the story, They remind you why you keep playing even when the game has a few lukewarm missions and they remain consistently entertaining with campside stories and friendly insults in passing. This is a feature of the game that extends to wildlife as well. Red Dead 2 remains remarkably faithful in simulating the habitats and daily activities of hundreds of species.
It all feels so real and it draws you into the game bit by bit as you pick your way through the game's content. And in the very end it all remains just as real life memories do, Moments. Listening to the horses hooves clod off the red sand as I slammed my way through a particularly bad sandstorm, Watching townsfolk look up from their newspaper to eye me like vultures as I saunter into town for the first time, Watching a boy sprint in the other direction as he sees me reach for my revolver.
Experience this world, Experience Arthur's story and remember to take your time before it all passes like a gust of frontier wind.

Wowie this game looks really good, it has one of the best graphics for NES and cutscenes, really pushed the limits of 8 bits. Also it has a story, but its just like every other game out there (kill the bad guy). The concept is really interesting, and it's not just straight up medieval normie RPG, it kinda has a Dragon Ball vibe for me.
It's EXTREMELY GRINDY to the point where you're better off playing the game as a side thing and watching a video on youtube or listening to a podcast, it's THAT level of grindness. And that's a no-no.
The art is beautiful and it also has cutscenes which I haven't seen in any games before (from that time). If you can tolerate the grindy nature of JRPGS from this time, the game is pretty fun. Personally I enjoy grindy games so I didn't mind much, so this game is definitely a recommend from me.
I can tolerate grind, yes. I can. What I can't tolerate are those MAZES, THOSE LABYRINTHS, MADE FOR YOU TO KEEP LOCKED FOR YEARS INSIDE! YEARS! DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE BEEN LOCKED THERE? I'm terrible with directions.
Many times have I gotten to a door on the first cave thinking "whee finally I can proceed" just to receive a slap on my face upon realizing that I walked in a circle and actually just left the damn cave. Also, it's a cave, right? Why does it look like a labyrinth and NOT A CAVE?
You play as Allis (I may have forgotten her name already) that wants to avenge her brother, killed by... Raviolli? Venice? Lechic? Lessic? Oh, Lessic. Great, it's one of those games with weird damn names. If you want the whole story go read the massive info dump on the manuals that old games love so much.
You get some companions along the way, like Odin! Wait, Odin?! ....uh, anyways, it plays exactly the way you think an old JRPG would.
Overall, rating out of 100:
Story: 15
Extra points for not being a straightforward "there's a bad guy and we'll kill him", instead being a "there's a bad guy and he killed my brother so let's kill him". Actually would've liked to play AS the bad guy, he looks cool.
Gameplay: 30
Way more grindy than it should be, if it was toned a bit down I'd give more points. (also, one of the skills is "BYE" which makes you run away, I laughed my ass off when I saw that, but it does have its uses)
Graphics: 100
Simply breath taking, as quoted by Beanu Rivers. I think he said that. I'm not good with names.
Sound/Music: 10
Considering everything, this section is definitely lacking. Not memorable or good at all, but it does fill the void of no sounds. So... better than nothing I suppose.
That leaves Phantasy Star with a Phantastic (TM) 155 out of 400! Can someone lend me a guide so I can get out of here?

Couldn't get singleplayer to work no matter how hard I tried. Nuff said.

a fun game with good mechanics, the dev know the limits of those. All the art of the game is compelling and make a cool ambiance. the ost really cool and some missions are simply incredible. He s kind of court but really cool game

One of the best games I've played. The story, the music and the art are flawless, the combat is a bit underwhelming but it is not the main focus of the game so it barely matters. I cannot recommend it enough.

This game, to this day is still fun and interesting to play. Of course many things are dated and the game does ZERO hand holding, which has its pros and cons. There are many things that are hidden in ways that makes you go "what in the frick man (you can't swear, this is a family friendly game)", such as bombing one SPECIFIC ROCK IN A MOUNTAIN. WHAT.
The game's difficulty is okay tho, with the exception that you cannot throw swords if you don't have max health, and once you come back to life you restart with 3 hearts always. That's not a huge problem later on as you have potions (if you figured out how to get them) and fairy fountains.
Nowadays, so that you don't waste 9 hours trying to understand where to go next, I recommend a guide. I played without one and finished temple 4 before I even found the second one. Not exactly fun wandering everywhere trying to figure out what the hell you're supposed to do.
Also this game is GRINDY, and the old man thinks speaking in cryptic language is fun. Unfortunately trying to kill the old man only results in you being set on fire by his fireballs. Bummer.
This game was very innovative when it was released, with an open world, save system and a story (kinda, very cliche even for its time but hey, 1 is more than 0).
You play as Zelda trying to save some girl or something from NEON pig man. Like everyone who wears neon and kidnaps princesses, Ganon (pigman) is very evil. You count with the (not) helpful duo of old man and old woman, and their primary job is to piss you off. In that, I think Nintendo nailed it.
There are many tools that you get, and they're very fun to use. Some bosses are very difficult until you realize that bombs = the shit.

You've got the setting and the basic progression, it's okay.
Gameplay: 40
Solid and fun, has a save system so you don't have to finish it in one run.
Graphics: 10
It looks good, there are many other games that look better on NES but considering the size of this one, it's good.
Sound/Music: 80
Okay, the OSTs on this game are absolutely timeless.
This leaves Legend of Zelda with a secret 140 out of 400! Bonus points for no "Hey, listen!", minus points for old man wasting my time instead.

The combat is a clusterfuck, healing is non existant and waiting for abilities to come out of cooldown is boring.
The worldmap traveling is nice as are the graphics, but fighting the camera is a lost battle.

This was my most anticipated game of all time. Never before had I been so anxious and ecstatic about an announcement I had wanted for nearly seven years. Now that I have played it several times im must confess this story makes me mad and is still irritatingly runs at a snail's pace when in menus. But the game has some of the most freestyle form of gunplay i've had the pleasuring of experiencing. Every character is so much fun to play as, despite the fact that these are the worst set of Vault Hunters in the entire franchise. The Graphics are fantastic for the art style and the new worlds are the greatest thing to happen since Elpis. In the end this is not my favorite Borderlands by a long shot but still ends around an 8/10 for me thanks to the improvements in gameplay, visuals, gun variety, class variety, and its diverse locations. - End note... Gearbox fix your goddamn writers room and get Anthony Burch back into the chair because holy damn the writing has be spotty since BL2.
It's a super-short completely linear "message" indie game, so you need to come in with the right expectations. The experience of playing the game is closer to a five-minute YouTube video than a longer-form interactive game.
That said, the medium is a perfect fit for the author's intended message, which hits hard at the end, and the theme of the game seems prophetic given how much worse all of the dynamics that the game explores have gotten in the intervening years. Graphics and gameplay design fit well with the game's intended purpose, so no complaints there.
I'm reviewing this after thinking about it out of the blue while watching the news several years after I last played it. If the fact that it's still on my mind after so many years isn't an endorsement, I don't know what else could be -- highly recommended.

Journal Style Review:
The opening is so slow. Kind of boring. I’m looking forward to actually playing the game once I’m out of the tutorial portion but at 2 hours in it still feels like a tutorial in a way.
These skull villains are hilariously bad. All of the writing is awful. The story is slow and awful (I mean it’s for kids so whatever). Catching and fighting Pokemon on the other hand is pretty fun. Can’t deny that. They really haven't made a lot of changes to how Pokemon plays. I’m okay with that at the moment since it’s been about 10 years since I’ve played. It’s has some nostalgia for sure.
Super dumb story. Even for kids. But still fun for the simple Pokémon mechanics. It’s an easy relaxing game.
I don’t think I like the Z moves. I don’t think any of the major changes are that great. Also it feels a bit light on new Pokémon. Still it’s relatively addictive still and pretty easy going to play. Planning out a party of balanced Pokémon is still fun.
I’m like 12 hours in. It’s fun, but I think a lot of that is because I play it during times I’m bored and don’t have anything else to do. Its essentially the same game as the old ones with a handful of new Pokémon and a couple bad decisions on game mechanics. It’s fine for what it is. A relaxing time killer for times when you have to wait somewhere.
I’m calling it even though I didn’t finish. It’s not worth my time. Even when travelling.
Final Score: B

Best RPG ever.
Meh only because this game is too hard for me and retired after Guardian Ape.
Definitely one of the best Tony Hawk games ever produced. Just feels so good to do tricks, the enviornments all feel super well thought out and fairly well designed for tricking around. The story is nothing amazing but is honestly completely elevated by how much of a punk bastard Eric Sparrow is as a character. Every level and mission generally feels fair to complete and also fun to play, teaching you the mechanics and also inspiring the player to actively become better at the game. If you're gonna play any Tony Hawk game play this one 100 percent.

If you wanna realistic bus driver game, with great bus graphics, I would recommend OMSI to you, if you like buses and public transport. At the beginning there are only two maps; Grundorf and Berlin. There are lots of community content, best maps are Prague, Sczeczien or BOTW 2.9.
