Borderlands was one of the few remaining franchises with couch co-op. It's obvious they really don't care about this market anymore which sucks for me and my SO. Split screen text doesn't adjust in co-op mode so you can barely read the text. If my SO is in a menu and I'm not, the game lags and skips. Actual gameplay is OK but the menu is used so often that it severely affects the experience.
An underrated masterpiece. Not for everyone (get ready to read A LOT), but totally worth trying.

Only downside is a kinda clunky gameplay. Everything else is phenomenal.

!!REVIEW IN PROGRESS!!
So I'm going to start this review with my original thought about the game. It sounds boring as fuck. Delivery boy? No thank you.
Now on to current me, ten hours in, first boss down and oh my god. This game is fucking incredible. I'm no Kojima fan boy, I liked MGS: The Phantom Pain but yea Kojima is just another director to me. This game, I can't even tell you why I bought it, I have no idea. Maybe because I wanted to experience it and treat it as a movie, a visual experience or maybe because deep down I have a massive man crush on Mads Mikkelsen; regardless I bought it and I love it.
I'm about ten hours in and I've been getting "That warm feeling" you get when you experience something great. It's just plain good. Graphically very impressive, voice acting is great (A very big thing for me), But something about this game just clicks.
Never before have fetch quests been so ... I mean just pure fun. Everything about the process is great, from planning your route, distributing your load correctly, dodging BTs, pissing on rocks, building random structures, dodging MULEs, and everything else.
TL;DR This game is fun, this game takes something that should be boring as all hell and flips it on its head. I haven't enjoyed a game this much since Sekiro, and that being a game that is absolutely "my" formula".
So far, I'd recommend this to anyone, especially people who were skeptics like me. It's just good, plain and simple.
Will update as I progress.

Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine can be a good time or a great time either, but, it can be repetitive easily. I played it on its "single-mode" where you advance to predetermined stages with different enemies, the difficulty spikes can be punishing but once you manage to understand your opponent's strategy you may counter it, this aspect was the thing I liked the most and gives you a good challenge.
For the negative sides, there are like 2 songs for this game and the same background and it really feels through your gameplay, it doesn't feel that you advance at all and can be disheartening because the enemies will give you a lot of trouble. I didn't Vs a human but it seems to me that if you have a rival with a similar level than yours, both of you will have a fun time. I think that DRMBM for what it is can be very enjoyable, but, its fun may weary faster than you expect.

The Good: the gameplay felt fluid, the level of injury to enemies based of where they were shot and what calibre weapon was a nice touch. The game definitely still felt like a max payne game with the gameplay, bullettime felt the best its ever felt imo. The story was solid enough for what it was, and I only had one random glitch once, nothing game breaking, one enemy just turned invisible but still had muzzle flare so like I said, not a big deal breaker. The graphics were nice, cars looked a bit flat, but aside from that it felt like a modern game in terms of graphics.
The not so good: the overall feeling of gloom and darkness that made the atmosphere of the first two games just wasn't there the same. Yes Max's dialogue was as Noir as usual (and possibly some of his best dialogue ever) but aside from a chapter or too most the game was a bit too bright and just didn't feel "dark". Also there were no explosives you could have, which, just felt sad at times.
Final Verdict: All and all I had a blast with this game, and can safely say too anyone who's either a fan of third person shooters, or fans of the first two games, give it a go. I highly doubt you'll be disappointed; just be aware, it is very Linear, but that was definitely a relief amongst the seas of openworld games out there
8.5/10

This was the baseball game for me; hours were spent playing this game while I had Descendent's "Two Things at Once" in the tape player on repeat. Maybe it's not the best baseball game, but it was mine!

I finished Warhammer: Chaosbane mostly out of principal; I paid full price for this ($79.99 CAD!) when it dropped because I'm a huge sucker for Diablo-likes and read a couple fairly positive reviews of this. For a brief moment, it seemed like I had found my new favourite. Chaosbane nails something that a lot of Diablo-likes do not: the feel. It's smooth, plays well, and has overall a really great foundation with solid abilities.
Unfortunately, it suffers hugely from repetition and overall blandness; the story is, well, nothing special would be putting it nicely. The loot is OK but really does not stand out, nor does it really feel like you are optimizing your build in any fun way other than selecting what seems to give you the best boost. I enjoyed the skill-tree and the points-system for your abilities with added some level of strategic thinking to your character.
Otherwise, it's a slog through the same areas over and over again - even within each quest you'll find yourself running through very similar "pieces" I'll say of the layout (almost like everything was build from a small set of area-types so you run up the same kind or stairwell or run around the same kind of corner again and again.)
Honestly, with some work on more varied quests and a better end-game, this would be one of the more solid-feeling Diablo-like ARPGs out there right now. A lower price would have helped, for $15 or $20 bucks this will be a fine distraction but full price was just not worth it. I'd rather steer you towards something like Vikings - Wolves of Midgard to be perfectly honest.

I'm loving my time with Shining Soul II right now; it totally scratches my itch for a Diablo-like loop (fight, get loot, get money, stat boosts from items, sell items for money, rinse repeat) and the game oozes charm with fun animations and graphics. Basically falling head-over-heels for this game. Recommended!

Playing this on PS4, and phew let me tell you: this game runs like shit. Screen tearing galore and framerate issues as far as the eye can see. A shame, because there's potential here - though muddled as it currently is. I hated this game for a few hours but I've settled down a little and am getting a good kick out of it. I've seen this described as Diablo + Crusader: No Remorse + the Warhammer license and hey that's kinda accurate. I could see over time this becoming a four-star review, and the 2.0 patch on PS4 really helped things out - though performance still isn't super great. For now it's a tentative recommendation for fans of the genre.
Incredible to kill some time! Or just interest my siblings.
If I just want to play and relax for few minutes, I choose easy difficulty.
But if I want to try hard and RAGE, I play of hard difficulty.
Also, love the secretes and I kinda like those textures.
Not for a long time, but worth trying.

+ Classic Metroidvania Design
+ Variety in shard system
+ Provides strong sense of direction
+ Snappy controls
- 2.5D visuals sometimes feel cheap
- Perhaps a little too similar to it's inspiration
- Too many competing systems added unnecessary fluff
