Celebrating 20 years of vampire hunting action, the legendary Castlevania series is back with an all-new action packed adventure. Take control of two heroes, Jonathan Morris, a vampire hunter and his close friend Charlotte Orlean, a girl with tremendous magical ability. Amidst the chaos of World War II, two mysterious sisters emerge, working to resurrect Dracula and David and Charlotte are all that stand in their way.

• Two new playable characters, each with their own unique style of play and abilities

• Strategically switch between characters in the heat of the action

• Call on your partner and execute Summon Attacks to decimate your enemies

• Encounter over 100 diverse enemies in your adventure to stop Dracula’s resurrection

As of May 20, 2014, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service for Nintendo DSi and Wii systems has been retired. Online features of this game are no longer available after this date but this game still provides an entertaining experience in offline mode.

Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin reviews and comments

The structure of switching between an open layout and the more linear parts is an interesting experiment but makes the game feels like it ends too soon. Like how I can actually use a whip in this one, at least, though the Vampire Killer sidequests and other minor sidequests are kind of just wastes of time.
