Laserlife is a rhythm game that looks and sounds incredibly good. That's about where the positives end, unfortunately. Maybe this is just me (I played this with a DS4 controller, although I've heard similar complaints about 360/XbO controllers) but it is very obvious that this game wasn't meant to be played without RealSense. Using a controller, your hands will inevitably cramp horribly, especially during the first segment of each memory where you need to use the triggers a lot.
Also, the gameplay itself isn't really particularly satisfying. Shame, since the presentation is genuinely impressive for an indie title.

BOY! I Love IT
Eh. Way too flash game-y for my tastes. Kind of reminds me of Infectonator but with a lot more trial-and-error gameplay. If you're really into the late 2000s strategy flash type games you'd find on Kongregate, this might be worth checking out, but certainly not for a tenner.
Absolutely terrible story, if you want to play a good modern warfare story, play Spec Ops: The Line. Having said that the campaign is still fun, even if the story is completely unrealistic even for a COD game. Over abundance of camping and camping tools like claymores, and ridiculously unbalanced guns, make the multiplayer just feel to slow. I don't want to circle an entire map just to find one guy. Speaking of maps the game has some non linear and fun maps, making the game's graphics shine. All the animations, sound effects, and recoil of the guns make it feel like a modern military shooter. Having said that the variety in guns is surprisingly quite big and you not only have 1 rocket launcher like in Black Ops IIII, you have 4 rocket launchers, all different. But the variety doesn't matter if when you join a lobby you always see 3 guns, the M4A1, MP5, and 725. This makes combat unbalanced, forcing you to use those guns to compete. The third mode spec ops, is literally unplayable. Enemies who you kill come back moments later, you're constantly put into these choke points with no way out and you find yourself failing anytime you try to do them, that and the survival being locked for PS4 players (Granted I have the PS4 version) pisses me right off. All in all game plays like a modern military shooter, with nice animations, sound effects and of course gun variety and recoil to make you learn recoil patterns. But it's terrible plot, overabundance on campers, and the game having the single worst 3rd mode in any COD game makes me just not like it as much as I should. 5/10

This is one of those artsy-fartsy faux-deep puzzle games with puzzles that are more annoying than brain-teasing you'd get on itch.io for donations, except it's 10 dollars on steam for some reason.
Here's the deal with puzzle games: you don't ever want to walk into a segment and instantly know what you're supposed to do but dread having to actually do it. I had that experience many times in Standpoint.

Penarium is a hateful, spiteful game that aims to make you cry. You know the types of games I'm talking about - Super Meat Boy, I Wanna Be The Guy - this game operates with the same modus operandi as those two did.
Unfortunately, Penarium often falls into the same trap the "super hard indie game designed to make YouTubers yell" genre often falls into - a lot of the difficulty isn't so much exhilarating as it is really annoying, and not just because double jumping fails to register about 20% of the time.
Here's my rule as far as difficulty goes: if you look at something and your reaction is "oh man, this is gonna be tough, can't wait" then you're doing something right. On the other hand, if you look at something and your reaction is "oh man, this looks horrendous, I'd really rather shove a cactus up my ass than have to do this", that's a problem, and that's a sadly far too common feeling in Penarium.

Blue Screen Of Death on Win10.
This alone should be a big warning, especially in times where Win10 tends to cause even more problems on top of the BSOD issue.
Game combat mechanic is good, not great, with the questionable choice of why we cant wield magic in the left hand and a one-handed weapon on the right at the same time, causing unnecessary frustration during the fights.
Too many small rooms connected to eachother feels like a map slapped together with no sense of the magnitude of what an underwater city could offer.

Amazing gripping ermotional pathway that leads you around the twists and turns of the insight of Edith's family's life a hereditary disease.

Really eerie platform-puzzler which starts off meloncholicly cute and woithout spoiling too much has a much sinister depth under the surface. Great game!
War of the Chosen takes a great game and simply makes it better. Every system has been made a little deeper, and been given just a bit more detail. The new characters (including the eponymous "Chosen") are fun, interesting, and well-acted (by many Star Trek TNG / Gargoyles vets, no less!).
The retro soundtrack included in the Reinforcement Pack blew me away, and you should definitely check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U73SNMrYMY&list=PLplWQWlFS077SlH51u-hSG1Y20YuKeqcS

«OST on repeat»
Quite effective as a party game, but don't be fooled into thinking there'll be online out-of-the-box or that the game has anything to offer as a single player experience.
If you're in the situation where you've got 3 lads coming down to the house to sink a beer together (or I suppose if you have 3 people with controllers who are willing to download Parsec) and you need something to play then TTD isn't a bad purchase, but that is a very specific scenario and I can't see it happening all that often, unless you're quite the social butterfly.

A short, simple, sweet game with absolutely beautiful music and artwork.

Heaps of fun for a group - and the family-friendly setting is a welcome feature!
