About

In the Middle East, a terrorist group shot down a passenger airliner. The attack was made using the latest American-made missiles. The agent Michael Thorton is assigned to investigate the case. He manages to get on the trail of the leader of the group, but suddenly he is removed from the job and betrayed by senior colleagues. Now, when the American government hunted him, Michael uses "Alpha Protocol" - a secret program that recruited him and begins to work to detect the conspiracy secretly.

Alpha Protocol gives you the ability to take control of Thorton with a camera from a third-person perspective (you can see all that surrounds you). The CIA trained Thorton, so at his disposal is possession of weapons of ranged and melee, as well as technical devices. The player also earns promotion points, which increase skills in using guns and give additional abilities.

Alpha Protocol provides the ability to interact with numerous characters in the game. Conversations take place in real time, thus giving to the player some time to answer in essential dialogues.

Alpha Protocol reviews and comments

It looks like the wordst kind of 7th gen game and the gameplay is the very definition of jank. But behind those hurdles is one of the most engaging RPGs of its time.
«Underrated»
So close. If Obsidian had the means to finish this this would've been an instant classic instead of this flower steeped in a pile of jank.

Alpha Protocol is Mass Effect 2 in Secret Agent Garb. The Dialogue System, Inventory, Character Development, Romances, Gameplay and Graphics quality are amazingly similar to ME2, Providing GOOD Long-term Motivation and Kurzweil.

I'm very disappointed with the Game. The Setting was promising from my Point of view as I stand on Agent Stories and Games. But the Gameplay of Alpha Protocol can clearly be described as bad. So did the Graphic. Everything looks edgy and unnaturally angular and it feels the same. Too bad, good Potential was just thrown away here.

When this Game came on the Market it was interesting, by now it's just grossly outdated. The Game Mechanics are linear, the AI is more than stupid. Man can shoot an AI Soldier, the Guy 2m next to it doesn't notice. Whether you trigger an Alarm or not have any Consequences. Overall good Story, you can play, but those who are looking for a good sneak shooter should prefer slightly newer titles.

Oh God... What a glorious Waste Of time:D Pros:-it's relatively long-varied missions-lots of Side dogs to Collect and read:D-the Lvl system is actually quite nice as it's a little reminiscent of Mass Effect. -upgradable Weapons, suits, nice selection negative:-terrible K.I.-bugbegs-ghastly combat system (huge Crosshairs, Melee is only useful as Stealthkill)-completely unfair in many Places-shuttered Damage model-at least 50% boring Dialogue In English Voiceover (who likes it ... But with all The Phrases it gets difficult and annoying)-typically loveless 08/15 Story which runs out uncannily and somehow you lose Interest as well as Connection

Product received for free I love this Game! The Dialogues offer different Character development options, which, together with the other Plot, gives a very interesting World. Playing itself is well adapted to my own Strategy due to the Skills and playable Benefits, which I very much Promised, so that I had a lot of fun in the individual Missions with "Hiding and Stunning." I initially had Problems with the hack Mini-games, but this arose after some Time and suitably distributed Skill points. The Difficulty "Light" I played on, I'd rather call a "middle/Heavy" mishmash (which may be due to my Style of play), but was just the right Level of Challenge for me. The German Translation (Subtitle) was catastrophic in some Places, which made the Dialogue Options partly even more opaque than they already are anyway-even in The original Language you do not play your own Hero but "only" one well Customizable Mike Thorton. (I got the Game at the last SEGA "Make War Not Love" promotion.)
Plot is quite interesting if you like stories about spies and secret organizations. But gameplay feels a little outdated: gunfight is on the level of first Mass Effect, and stealth is way too easy because of dumb AI, which can't see you almoast all the time.
