Halo 5: Guardians is an FPS game developed by 343 Industries.

Set in 2558, 8 months after Halo 4, the plot revolves around two fireteams. Blue Team with Master Chief acting as a commanding officer and Fireteam Osiris led by Jameson Locke. Blue Team goes AWOL in order to find Master Chief's old comrade while Osiris is sent after the Team on a capture and retrieve mission.

Like in previous titles, the players control a SPARTAN, biologically engineered supersoldiers that use the MJOLNIR battle armor. This armor has energy shields that deplete upon receiving any damage but regenerate after a certain amount of time. The players are capable of carrying two firearms at a time, but it is possible to pick up every weapon dropped by the enemy.

Unlike the previous installments where the player could only be followed by NPCs in singleplayer but had the ability to play in a separate co-op mode, Halo 5 takes the concept further and now every of four fireteam members can be controlled by a player. The game does not feature any autonomous features like split-screen on LAN play.

Completed as of writing this review: Base Game (Heroic in Multiplayer).

Call of Duty gameplay in Halo with a lot of annoying enemies, that kill you fast. Also a boring story and a lot, a lot, a lot more to explain for how wrong this game is. Skip this one and get to Infinite.

I mean, its still fun, but this is the worst Halo game.

I don’t remember the campaign at all at this point. But I remember thinking it wasn’t great. The multilayer on the other hand I absolutely loved. I liked the early stages of the war zone mode. It maybe started some bad gaming industry habits but I can’t deny that it was really fun. Then the arena multiplayer was also just as good, probably better. I played halo 5 when it came out a lot. 

I stopped for a year or maybe two. And then I picked it up again and played some more halo for a couple weeks. It was still fun and lots of new maps and game modes were there. Then I stopped again until I think last summer, where I once again started playing all the halos. All the halos are still really really fun arcade shooters. Nothing has done a good job replicating what halo does for an arcade multiplayer. Name another shooter that has the same arcade feeling to it that’s even close to this level (for multiplayer, don’t say doom).

I’ll probably pick up the halos again before halo infinite comes out. It seems likely.

I picked them up again. Halo 5 still feels great. It’s an amazing shooter. Playing the campaign on legendary with 2 other people was a fun way to do it.
