Human Revolution is a blast from the recent past, and, at the risk of sounding like an old man, they don't make 'em like they used to.

The immersive sim genre doesn't get a lot of love, despite "play your way" becoming an increasingly popular mantra across all AAA games. Deus Ex takes the design philosophy of immersive sims and runs with it, creating a mostly believable immersive experience. Some enemy AI is questionable, and bossfights generally fucked up the pacing, but overall it stays on point with giving you options and an interesting world to soak in.

Gameplay: I can't comment on HR as a shooter, but as a stealth game, it's great. I never felt treated unfairly and constantly felt like I was being challenged by new scenarios. Plenty of options for lethal and nonlethal players. All augments felt useful and rewarding. Some side quests dragged a bit, but most were interesting enough.

Story and world building: unparalleled in today's gaming landscape. For 2011, it was an eerily accurate look into our future, with plenty of real world parallels. Every locale has it's own personality, and the big picture themes are relevant and thought provoking.

I'd recommend Human Revolution to fans of the Immersive Sim genre, stealth games, and cyberpunk media. Be warned, Deus Ex doesn't hold you hand and you will need to pay attention and play carefully.

Of course it’s dope. I’ll be playing until I get MM.
A short charming game with gorgeous visuals, smooth graphics and interesting gameplay.
As you move through the worlds time also moves forward and changes the path your walking on and the background, which sometimes reveals important designs. Some of the puzzles are quite difficult, but definitely worth your time.
Definitely worth playing, tho I’d rather advice buying it for your tablet or smartphone than for your console. Among other things, it’s also cheaper there.

Extremely poorly optimized and kiiiinda lame.

The crown achievement of labyrinthine level design and exploration, probably the best game ever, skip Blight Town.

Set out a very good foundation for future FPS and the series, but god damn is it boring. The game seems to be made with the copy-paste tool and the story is full of conveniences. The multiplayer however is very good but totally surpassed by later titles.
So disappointed with this game, ive been a nonstop Crash fan since the first release, played 1-3 probably few thousand times and every Crash game to date.

This game is so ridiculous in a way that it caters ONLY to the hardcore gamers. Crash 1 was legit hard but average players can still beat it and have fun. The difficulty of this game consists mostly of 2 things: The length of the maps and the camera angle behind Crash which is so zoomed out that its hard to control where he will land, thats why they added the location marker under Crash which i thought was a decent fix but poor design nonetheless.

Best Crash games have Crash zoomed in more (just like some of the maps in this game like Nitro Processed which is actually one of the few maps that i liked). The length of the maps are so ridiculous because its EVERY map and they are so tedious that each hindrance is just repeated again and again. It feels so lazy, uninspired and uncreative, because most maps actually have 1-2 good ideas that the whole map consists of. ND did this sometimes like in Crash 1 but it was mostly the 2 stages of going over the bridge which were relatively short because they were so brutal. Here its every map and they are so ridiculously tedious.

The audio for this game is very boring, best songs are poor remixes of the masterpieces from ND. The only reason i give it a 2 is because of good graphics and cutscenes. I thought they were the best part about this game and i liked how Dingodile was expanded and become a retired good guy. Kinda like Crash Bash.

Anyway i regret purchasing this game on sale because i've already uninstalled after beating the game because i just dont wanna go through those maps again. I liked that they added content and more characters but alot of it is just lazy (like reverted diamonds and different colors for bosses) or super hard like finding all the stupidly well hidden boxes while not dying - Just isnt fun at all.

I had a miserable time beating this game because i dreaded every single level where Crash never got to breath or slide or anything. Every map is clustered with endless hindrances every step and thats just not Crash and never has been. The masks were remaked from Wrath but i consider that game vastly superior. Its the true 4. I've never been this critical of a Crash game and i played Titans which were terrible but i knew that at time and i wasnt hyped for those releases.

While having a *very* slow start, it pays off exceptionally in the end. This was my first Visual Novel I have ever played, and because of how fantastic this was, it will not be my last.

I was super late to the party on this one, because I had no interest in buying a PS4, but my wife is a JRPG dork, so we finally got one, and I figured I may as well play this.

Wow, had I been missing out. This one game, to me, justified the cost of our PS4 Pro.

Instantly joined my top 10 games of all time.

You know why you start playing this game.

Everyone knows why you start playing this game.

But then you start playing this game, and you discover that it's a spiritual successor to fucking Myst, and you can easily spend hours and hours untangling all the criss-crossing storylines.

The only people that shit-talk this game are people who haven't really played it.

Or, ya know, prudes.

Unless you're one of those people for whom Black Flag was the only AC game you liked, this game is abject trash.

I really like so much about it. It’s creative and mysterious, and the gameplay is wild. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to navigate and gives you so little to go off of that I spent the majority of my playtime frustrated, searching for every simple objective. That’s hard enough when the map is available, but 50% of the time it won’t even load. I would have thought the bugs would have been worked out by now. Very sad and disappointed I won’t be finishing this awesome story.
