Had a lot of good childhood memories with it. It's one of my favorite games in the series. Sometimes I feel like it is the best. The general feel of driving, the challenges, the blacklist - everything was fun.
One of the most under-rated games. The gameplay and the storyline is quite good and interesting. The most important thing this game offered, is the ability to decide what to do at some point; that can literally make you the villain for bad decisions.

Overall, the game is very short but interesting to follow the story events from start to end.
Honestly i love the artwork this game has to offer, the character models and world map are decent. But other than that its a very slow paced, clunky experience with little to no interesting story. 5% of the game has voice acting and the dialog between the characters have no depth. People turn from evil ways to the good side far too easily, which leaves storytelling to nonexistence because its all about recruiting people to your kingdom and have everyone be friends, which just is kinda boring.

Battle mode is way too quick and never need to use strategy and i absolutely did not enjoy the endless back and forth along with skirmishes which i though was the worst part about this game. First 3 chapters of the game were really interesting and this game had a LOT of potential to begin with.

Solid and well-produced, especially in terms of sound and lighting, but I end up agreeing a lot with the old Errant Signal video about this one: a bit too drawn out, weight-based physics puzzles wear out their welcome, and a story that simultaneously happens around Freeman while also flattering him around every corner. It's wild how well these games hold up graphically and stylistically, though.
I was hoping for the best. :(

The parody genre, when done properly can be an amazing theme or premise for a film or story. Classic films like Airplane (1975) are an example of what can be accomplished with humor and parody. Saints Row: The Third is what happens when that is attempted in a video game and it continues into its sequel. I have never played a Saints Row game before this game, but I am familiar with its frequent comparison either fairly or unfairly to the Grand Theft Auto series. But to me that is like comparing a Robert Rodriguez film to a Quentin Tarantino film. Saints Row: The Third is nothing more than bizarre, absurd, insane, fun. This is a positive and negative factor of this game. GTA tries to take itself serious and perhaps contains informative and satirical appraisals of our current society. Where GTA depicts some of these things with a guttural hyper realism, Saints Row seems to abandon this approach and tackles crime and taboo subjects with a cartoonish maniacal superficiality. I’m not someone who believes that games have to be stoic, austere social commentaries, but it just seems that Rockstar puts more efforts into the GTA series than what THQ and Volition present in the Saints Row series. The game, like most entries of the series, seems to be a standalone title. The Third Street Saints gang arrive in the fictional city of Steelport to combat the Syndicate, a criminal empire comprising of three distinct gangs. That’s the plot, everything that flows from that is sheer absurdity, parody, or a pathetic attempt to be sincere. The graphics are distinct and I actually kind of like them. The customization options are amazing and I was really impressed by them. The gameplay is pretty straightforward. The side missions to control the city got tedious and boring after a while. I like the concept of taking over the islands of Steelport, but it was and still is a very barebones concept that didn’t really provide anything useful or inventive. While I’m not expecting this game to be some innovative Game of the Year, it would be cool to see a game like this put some effort into its story or some of its overall gameplay goals. It was enjoyable to increase and reel in revenue, but again, there’s nothing truly special about the concept or how it is implemented in the game. The voice work is okay. The sound is pretty good for the most part. In conclusion, if you want a giant, immature, insane romp through a cartoonish, caricature of a video game that makes fun of itself, movies, and other video games, then you will enjoy this. But to me, this game isn’t something that I will return to with excitement. It’s okay to throw shade at video games and other art forms. Just do it in an inventive way. That is where Saints Row: The Third fails. It simply cannot stand on its own legs as a video game.

Imagine Uncharted but bad. You those made for Chinese market movies? They have one called 7 Guardians of the Tomb and it stars a drunken Kelsey Grammar. Imagine that bad movie but worse. I bought this for 19 cents to platinum it while I was up late with insomnia and now I'm angry. Like, really angry. Don't play this. Find the people who made it and tell them you hate them.

Hard but absolutely worth it. I don't like the actual run and gun levels but the boss levels are all incredible and make the game. Whenever I'd beat a boss I'd shout "YES!" in victory.

I only wish more games with unique animation styles and characters will become a thing (and popular).
I tentatively recommend this because the game can range from extremely fun to extremely frustrating.

Pros: Beautiful set and character designs, relatively easy controls, fast-paced action, compelling set pieces, and a pretty cool female lead. Also there's a major supporting character who is strongly coded to be autistic so that was nice to see.

Cons: The combat is terrible. Faith is limited to punching and kicking. She can use her environment to make her attacks stronger but she has to be constantly moving in order to not take damage. The camera is also extremely finicky a lot of the time and I got stuck on one level for a long time because I kept falling to my death for not being precise.

Overall: check it out when it goes on sale and see if it's worth it.
(Possible spoiler warning.)

Great game. My ONLY complaint is that the whole cult reveal at the end felt a little out of place and not entirely necessary. I get maybe having maybe one major antagonist believing in an evil entity and getting rid of 'undesirables', but bringing the whole town in on it?

Despite that, the game was absolutely worth playing. It's beautiful (the dream sequences in particular are drop dead gorgeous), the characters are very well defined and relatable, and it's a very candid look at mental illness/psychosis and how important it is to be surrounded by people who genuinely love and support you. Mae x Bea forever.

The most beautiful and emotional game of all time that I can play over and over again. Play with a controller and on a giant screen to get the most enjoyable experience (I want to kick myself in the teeth for not liking it at first because I made the mistake of playing on keyboard before getting Afterglow).

The game is relatively interesting to play the first time through but it encourages you to do a second playthrough (there's a hidden/new ending) and it's just boring.

However I think the game is good to play at least once if you're struggling with depression/grief because it has a good message on not letting your fears get to you/being able to keep moving forward. Other than that, you can give this a skip and play Mad Father or The Witch's House instead.
If you played the mobile game Attack the Light and/or are a huge Steven Universe fan this game is definitely worth checking out. It's also a bright and colorful game if you're tired of gritty, realistic, dark games that are popular nowadays.
