Five Word Review: Decent p&c; worth your time.
Favorite Thing: It's a point & click so it lives, mostly, by its story. It was pretty fun and light-hearted.
Least Favorite Thing: There's a lot of running around the same scenes over and over.

Date Completed: 2018-06-27
Playtime: ~ 8h
Enjoyment: 7/10
Recommendation: If you like point & click games then yes.

Five Word Review: Promising setting, crushingly disappointing gameplay.
Favorite Thing: I love post-apocalyptic. I wish the game had drawn me in enough to see and explore more.
Least Favorite Thing: I really hate moving around in this game, it's so rigged and sluggish. Try running down a hill. Every bump locks you into this terribly slow recovery animation. They even ruined the jump jets. If you're running and you jump then jet it slows you down. GAH!

Date Dropped: 2018-06-20
Playtime: 8.5h
Enjoyment: 4/10
Recommendation: No. =(

Really loved this one. Black the Fall didn't get too much praise or attention (after release when it's most needed), although in my belief it should. There are two core reasons for it. First of all, even though you barely hear or read a word in it, it's a narrative puzzle game, where the story is told throughout the environment and objects, rather than words. It's a game about factory worker trying to escape an authoritarian regime, heavily inspired by communist rule. Since I'm coming from a country that used to experience that rule, I have some understanding of its aesthetics and zombified daily life. Black the Fall catches some details to describe that era and at the same time, it's not lecturing or annoying. For example, it's graphics and artistic style, for many eyes may look half-baked or incomplete, some models are pretty detailed and animated, some are simple and ugly, some are without any texture at all. Some of us may see it as a bug, while I see this as an exceptionally realistic resemblance of communist past. Pretty much everything, starting with household items, ending with entire living districts looked that way. Some things where half-baked because there were no resources, nor sense of style, while other things looked unfinished and almost ready to collapse due to organized theft. Somehow Black the Fall managed to manifest it all through surroundings of the game, but I won't argue, maybe I see those things because I want to. For a westerner, this game may look rather different, somewhat reminiscent of old Apple ads, but then again, it's a touching aspect of the game (it would be interesting to see how it would look if we would remove communist propaganda from tv screens and replace it with modern fox news broadcasts). It shows a regime, clearly based on Ceaușescu's communist rule, but the ending gives a glimpse of a modern-day Romania and it's lingering problems. In other words, Black the Fall kind of reminds us that history tends to repeat itself and this reminder is as timely as ever.
The second reason is the gameplay. It's somewhat reminiscent of a cult classic „Another World“, but also offers a variety of puzzles. Yet, the overall experience is way too short and it's probably the case where developers should've played with assets and existing puzzles to just fake and bloat an amount of content. It's a platforming puzzle game, mostly focusing on logical pathfinding problems, but also offering some cool puzzles with physics, companion dog usage, lightning or unexpectedly changing perspective. Puzzles are designed very well, since each one of them is solvable without external help, by just staring at the problem for 5 to 10 minutes. It's a perfect balance when the game doesn't feel too easy and progressing through it is still rewarding, but... Since there are no puzzles that make you stuck for an hour, overall playthrough time feels way to short for asking price of 15EUR. However, if you see it discounted, I would really recommend you to give it a go.
The sculpture says Larian Studios, at first I thought that I'd really love to hear the story behind it, cause we all know Larian! But it's probably just a way to say thanks to Larian, for their support during Black the Falls Kickstarter campaign.

Life is Strange series was always known by its attention to details and in this game, all details were made with maximum enthusiasm. We don't have a lot of characters here (like we have the drunk dad who's sleeping all the game and the neighbour who talk with us only for 30 seconds), so all the story is focused on things with which our character surrounded.
So why not “Exceptional”? Because we don't have a fully completed story. “But this game is free what the hell have you expected?” Actually, I didn't expect this game at all and I still think that it's just a demo engine for the 2nd season.

Well it's a weird case of being able to write a review in one sentence — „Not as good as Rayman Origins, or Rayman Legends :D.

No, but seriously — Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is a marvelous, beautiful platform, action game with a dash of puzzles presented via level design, hidden areas and boss fights. Great purchase for families or households with several players, cause it's actually better, funnier and feels beatable when played in couch co-op mode :D. With that said, I just have to add, that from the moment when Rayman Origins exploited this approach, no one really could do it better. Donkey Kong Country gets really close, but it's a bit lacking. It's beautiful and well executed, but its difficulty increase is quite steep going from chapter to chapter. Of course, there are assists, like special modes for noobs, or ability to skip a level, but those are a bit over the top, to be used by anyone willing to beat the game as it is. Rayman, for example, has a more balanced curve with a plethora of levels giving time to grasp new mechanics and increasing tempo. Also, Rayman can solve difficult issues by simply inviting more friends (up to 4) to play, since the game gets a bit easier with more people joining (one can always stay safe and revive others). So I wrote all this to really encourage people to try Rayman first, since the game is available on all consoles, while Donkey Kong Country is more suited for those obsessed with Nintendo characters and those who had enough of Rayman already :D.

"First the moon and the stars will be lost in a dense white fog. Then the rivers and the lakes and the sea will freeze over. And finally, a wolf named Skoll will open his jaws and eat the sun, sending the world into an everlasting night. I think I hear the wolf at the door. "

"BOY ... you sure are missing out if you don't play this game." So, I'll admit, I never enjoyed the other GoW games. There was just something missing from them for me. This new entry into the series hits just about every nail on the head. You've got interesting characters, Atreus isn't useless like most NPC companions, game looks great on standard PS4 though at some parts I did get very noticeable frame rate drops, great soundtrack and some good boss fights too.

One thing I didn't like about the game was the bosses that were essentially just re-skins of others with little to no variation in  move sets.

All in all, this game has set the bar high, I can't wait to see what comes next. 9.5/10
Exceptional
Kicked Yooka-Laylee's ass. 9/10. One of the best games I've played in a while. If you're looking for a collect-a-thon game, look no further.

Chapter 4 is a little meh but other than that, this game oozes charm.

So, where do I start with this game? This is one of those games I bought on a whim. Me and my friend had just finished Shenmue and I bought this because it looked similar in playstyle. I did not expect to have as much fun as I did with this game. Graphically it isn't the best, but it's bright and vibrant. Voice acting is top notch. Side quests are ridiculously good. Main story has some slow points but is otherwise solid. Side activities are absurd. Hey look at that bad ass looking Yakua over there, see him? Yeah, he's spent the last 30 minutes trying to win stuffed animals out of a claw machine. Boss Fights are fun but fairly easily barring the final fight.

tl;dr Game is a blast and well worth the time. 8.5/10
How excited I was when I learned about this game, how disappointed I was when it was released.

5/10. Go buy A Hat In Time instead.
I remember when I got this game. I got a 360, Oblivion and the guide for Christmas. This game blew my mind. I remember stepping out of the sewers for the first time, staring straight at some ruins and put the main quest on the back burner. While the game hasn't aged well mechanic wise, it is in my opinion, better than Skyrim. I put hundreds if not thousands of hours into this game. It's been my favorite game ever since. 10/10.
Based on Japanese traditional card game, karuta, this game is the one best way to get comfy and take your time beating your opponent while listening to relaxing soundtrack.

More of the Uncharted we’ve come to love and a great deal more!

A playable action movie. Still holds up a decade later.

I'm not into platformers, actually, and in classic action games I try to avoid stealth (I guess, I failed literally every stealth quest in The Witcher 2). But I love Mark of the Ninja! It's easy to master and very enjoyable to play. You have a huge variety of weaponry and skills, the game teaches you. I also like the graphics that reminds me of Samurai Jack series.

I want to say a couple of words about the game design of this game. Every level has its own features so you need to find different ways to complete them. There are always several ways to go, and the game will award yu with extra points if you don't kill anybody. And there are bonus levels (if you find them) that consist of puzzles only (and they're hard).

I had some issues with the controls but, I guess, every platformer has these difficult parts that appear after easy ones. What a platformer without a little piece of frustration?

While I wasn't a huge fan of David Cage's previous works i have to admit, I was absolutely blown away by Detroit. A fantastic storyline with incredibly rich and likable characters and actual consequences to your decisions. Considering how differently a lot of scenarios can play out due to your decisions the overall replayability of the game is pretty huge. Also from technical standpoint the game is simply put a masterpiece - everything from graphics alone to facial animations, sound, music is just simply exceptional. It's not a flawless game by any means, there are some cliques here and there, but with such an ambitious project i'm willing to give it a pass. Quantic Dream managed to pull off a game where your consequences actually matter unlike a lot of games out there, which alone is pretty remarkable. This is a one of a kind experience that i'd recommend to pretty much everybody.

I love this game so much couldn't stop playing i would play for 3 hours in a row non stop, the story line sucked you in. In this game you could decide the fate of the charecters, the graphics were exeptional it was breath taking and in some points it left me shaking it really felt like you were in the game and its really cool because the story depends on your choices, and you could kill the charecters off before their stories were complited. In the game you are able to decide their if you want your charecters to be hostile or sweet. But there is one downside that with Connor and Kara you had more decisions to make but as with Markus it felt like you weren't the one deciding for him it was more like the game was already decided for you. one tip: with this game there are a lot of ways it can end up but dont worry because you can replay the chapter but its more advised to keep it as it is and not go back to change it however it is your game so do what the hell you want. and one last thing, there is a flowchart that shows you how many ways it could have ended up but it doesn't show you what would have happened. And you can also see what most people have chosen.

Nathan Drake goes berserk on Scandinavian mythology setting. And it's great!

Actually, GOW is something between «Exceptional» and «Recommended» for me. Sometimes it's strongly reminds you, that it's only a game, like when you have that plastic level limitations or your son tells you: «Let's explore the world, dad!». Аnd you are like: «How long should we hang around with your dead mother's ash in a sac, kiddo?». And gnomes. Brok and Sindri looks like the most powerful creatures in a game with their invisibility skill, hundred of workshops around the world and ability to improve weapons with one hammer blow.

But still it's a good story and you could rarely find such a narrative about relationship between a father and a son. It's closer to Last of Us more then Witcher3. And good story shouldn't necessarily be epic and large-scale.

Combat system is balanced and spicy. Never ever it was so funny to chop and cleave your opponents. From that point, remember dry and stingy Dark Souls or Bloodborne. Witcher3 was bloody and about razor-sharp skills of trained monster-assassin, but God of War gives you real rage. One thing I missed, to be honest, is «16+» mode and gore.
