The worst part for me is the creatures. Like the equipment system which many creatures uses only to equip cosmetic items. Also they usually have just one action, so there are no alternative way to use them. Like, there’s a healer who heals, a melee attacker who attacks, a range attacker who attacks from a distance. That’s it.
The game lacks strategy, there are few meaningful upgrades and choices. I don’t recommend it.
Right now. this is not something you should play. First, this is pure fighting and nothing else, it’s very hard for those who are not fans of the fighting genre. Most people playing it now are probably backers. I recommend waiting for some story mode to be released and maybe then trying it out (if you love fighting). Otherwise, there’s not much interesting in the game.
What do you expect? It’s still the same gameplay, campaign and mechanics. The graphics is of course slightly improved, but this is still a great old game we all loved. And if you haven’t tried it, do it now, it’s one of the best strategies ever made.
I have never been a fan, in fact, Dynasty Warriors have never interested me at all. but this game is a whole new different story. First, there’s a cool open world. It is the first open world game in the series, as far as I know, and this alone makes it much better than the rest. It is big fun to explore and I don’t get all the hate around it, it’s probably old fans whining about changes as they always do. Then, there’s a huge roster with close to a hundred of playable characters. How cool is that? They are unlocked over the course of the game in different factions, and this greatly adds up to playability. Character designs are top. Then, the visual side is okay, nothing too fancy here, but still there are lots of beautiful moments.
Overall I enjoyed playing it, it is a very good game and the only DW that got my attention. Don't believe all the hate and go try it yourself, especially if you are not a fan of the series. This will change your mind.
I love the art style! And that’s pretty much it. I have tried Okami multiple times, but I may give up finally. It is often compared to Zelda, so this brings me back and makes me try it again and againg. But believe me, there’s not much in common. The controls are awkward, the dialogues are annoying, the graphics is beautiful but it’s hard to understand what’s going on, finally, the tasks are dull and unclear. Go play a Zelda.
I’ve put over 150 hours into the original game, and I’m pushing 50 hours in this one. The game is well worth the upgrade. Everything is better, the graphics, the UI, and it's easier and more fun to pick up for newcomers.
There are some downsides though. I wish DLCs were released with the game on day one. Then, there are a bit messed up settings, but I hope this will be patched eventually.
In general, it is still a good game. Especially, if you love sports, turn-based strategy, and fantasy settings.
The game is stupid. The game is short. It is hard to enjoy such stupid AND short games.
It’s a solid fighting game with thought-out lore. Though it is hard for newcomers to the fighting game genre, but if you are a fan, come for beautiful graphics and music, wrapped around a perfect fighting core.
Yet another masterpiece by the Behemoth. This game beats most finished games even in early access, especially for the price.
Pros are numerous: there’s great humor, interesting gameplay, lots of customization, wide range of creatures, characters, and weapons. My only gripe is perhaps the story which is not much to be satisfying.

This remake is a definition of disappointment. It doesn’t really upgrade the original AoE, it just brings a high-res HD picture. Needless to say, there has been "upatch HD", a community mod with widescreen, HD support, bug fixes, and other upgrades, which is totally free and much more fun that this "Definitive Edition". The $20 price tag is just a fraud, don’t buy it.
Painfully sad for a fan of the series like me. I’ve played every DW since the days of DW3. This game is just a shade of the series, it is boring and dull. Not much variation in characters, but lots of grinding.
It’s like a Zelda game, but you are a dog! What else do you need? No, seriously, the game deserves your attention. It has amazing art, marvellous soundtrack and cool characters. The story drags a bit in the third part, but I still enjoyed it. My advice is *do not* rush the game. It’s relatively long, over 30 hours in my experience, so it is easy to get a bit bored if you rush it.
I enjoyed the first game, but can’t recommend this one. I’ve been expecting better DLCs policy, because it was really a mess in the original game. What I got was a bigger mess, since teams are really expensive DLCs, and there’s less than half the content of the original. I feel robbed.
It tries to be a comprehensive sim but falls short. It’s very linear and there’s not much choice. The exploration is dull. It is neither funny, nor realistic, it’s something in between, and I don’t like it.
Well made and fun to play. Kick and humiliate dead bodies! The gore is fun and satisying. The guns are good. An basically the title is very self-explainable. If you love gore and guns, get it.
its really not that bad. no longevity but still fun a the time.
could've been worse.
not my style
short life span, like most party games.
considering I know it on 3 systems, I'd say its a good buy!
