Among the locations and heroes there are names familiar from the films - Tatooine, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Han Solo and Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO and others.
In addition to playing for the Light and Dark sides of the Force, you can play "against all and only for yourself" - in the role of Tiber Zann you can lead a group of criminals to the top of the criminal world of the Galaxy. This option is provided by the addition to the game - "Forces of Corruption". In the arsenal of criminals are well-known methods: piracy, kidnapping, extortion and bribery. And with the help of such an all-powerful key as corruption, you can achieve complete control over the Galaxy.

The best Star Wars Strategy game, there is none more that comes closer to the Movies than this Game here, the Units (Vehicles, Spaceships) and also the Planets are very detailed although some Vehicles that are not available in the Game do not occur in the Movies at all, but You probably had to fill in some gaps here because of balancing Issues, also the Sound effects and the Soundtrack are identical from the Movies, all of this Together adds up to a great Star Wars feel.
I do not think the New Rasse/-based consortium that has been added to the game with the Addon, they have never heard of before and, in my Opinion, they have not lost anything in the Game, and I would have clearly preferred the Groups here; Added Trade Federation and Galactic Republic, which would suit more and above all I would much rather play with them a Space battle or Ground Battle, even if that would not fit the same from the Era, but still a Significantly better Choice than this comical Consortium faction.
Also the Choice of Mods is very wide, so there are great Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Mass Effect, EVE, Halo, Warhammer 40K and many more Mods that expand the Game great, who has always been a gigantic Scifi Battle ala Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Battlestar Galactitca vs Stargate wanted to make is just right here.
The Game is a Must have for any Star Wars Fan (who still shouldn't have it to this day)!

There are many better games made at the same time - for example, Starcraft or Dawn of War. Empire at War isn’t awful or unplayable but it could be better. Here you have units and make them attack targets like in many other strategies - so why should you choose this one particularly? Sometimes players mention the Zann Consortium mod as quite easy one but in fact it’s broken. So better play the main campaign - or don’t play the game at all. IMHO, it isn’t worth its money.

As for me, it’s a good strategy, though I’m not a huge fan of the genre. Star Wars fans will be pleased with a large amount of content with two campaigns, spaceships you can blow up and other great stuff like using the Force. We also have mods there, so I can advise you to try the Republic at War - it’s a high-quality unofficial DLC, actually.
