Pretty damn extraordinary despite its surface level simplicity. It's maybe the best meta video game I've ever played. Super witty and funny and even heartfelt.

Crazy, fast-paced FPS fun that has you diving around the action instead of taking cover 75% of the time. For the most part it's nonstop action, but there are a few unskippable in-game cutscenes that I always dread getting to. I played this on the Switch in handheld mode, and while I still had a pretty remarkable time, it very clearly plays better on a PC or any console with larger controllers. There was also a glitch I briefly ran into that made menu navigation impossible unless I restarted the console, but that was hardly an issue in the long run.

The story is better than the actual gameplay, but it's still a pretty solid experience all in all. I liked it, but not nearly as much as other people do. As an experience, it's well worth going through at least once. I wouldn't consider it to be an exceptional game though.
Tonally, this is exactly what I love from dark and grim games. For the first playthrough the pacing is damn near perfect, too. The problem comes with subsequent playthroughs, which are not nearly as compelling. Moments of tension work great the first time, but mostly feel like a slow down if you play it over again.

This one is funny to review, cause it's what... 30-45 minute long game... And one of the future scenarios I'd love to envision for video game industry. These days we have many aging gamers, people with jobs, families and daily stuff that simply won't allow diving into entertainment for prolonged periods of time. In my circles there are many people that quit gaming completely or settle for Candy Crush Saga, just because they're afraid to get hooked. Solution to this? Shitty or short games and I vote for short ones (with a smart pricing model, or even streamed on demand). Like the Radiant One!
It's a warm interactive story, with very little controls. I'd say it's an audiovisual experience with some interactive sequences even. But we get to play it, therefore, it's a game. Very nicely done, very well presented and with a really cute soundtrack. It's about a guy in his mid 30's, daydreaming about getting more control in his lucid dreams. You know, shit we all do when we're 30+ :D. In his dreams, even though the game is short, this guy revisits his childhood, understands important things in life and does it all while catching a healthy amount of cute nostalgic moments. You know, Twin Peaks, VHS systems, DOOM locked up in fathers „office“ room and stuff like that.
Perfect purchase for an evening when you feel like starting and beating a game in an hour. Costs around 4EUR and I'd say it's money well spent.
It has some replayability value for those interested in getting more achievements.

Hah! Underrated. Not the best game, but fucking funny, and pretty hard to beat at the end. Played it through in one session. Recommended to do so!

Aww yes, God of War III. I bought a PS3 just for this one (and to play the other exclusive sony-titles of cause). My buddy lend that game to me. I was a huge hack-and-slay-fan, Dantes Inferno on Xbox360 was my favorite at this time. And yeah, perfect time, perfect game. Brutal, gory, funny, and challenging!

My first game on the GB. Played it every second my parents allowed me to. Played it with a flashlight under the bedsheets, in the car on the way to my grandparents, playing belly-land on the carpet in our housing complex I grew up... Memories, memories. Solid game tho'! Quick, many secrets and hidden levels, average difficulty. Yay!

Bester multiplayer ever. Period.
Wie gut das damals war, abnormal. Tschernobyl. Wow.
The story is really good and interesting, but gameplay routine is not very deep, so the game becomes slightly boring after few hours. It should be at least twice shorter (you need around 17 hours to complete the game).
First, let me make this clear. If you're a fan of Spider–Man this game is definitely for you, no matter what earlier relationships with games you've had. It's the best one in the series by far, also truly immersible and easy to pick up. Just stop reading and go play it!
For everyone else I must say, that it's a good game. High production values, good writing, interesting story and flawless navigation and combat systems make it into a gem of licensed super-hero games. Hardcore gamers, however, will find it lacking, due to several reasons:
• It's an open world game that can be cleared to 100% completion within 15-20 hours. So it's rather short, probably intending to cash in on sweet, sweet DLC deals.
• It's open world mechanics lack innovation. Even though everything works just fine, every activity (with some minor exceptions) is seen somewhere else, turned into a joke somewhere else, or are already gone and replaced by something new in the latest AAA open world titles. In that regard, Spider-Man is awfully classic (Do story mission, find a tower, populate the map with secondaries and pick up's, clear the map, rinse, repeat). In this case, most secondary activities are locked behind a story, to force players out and about, yet some things still get kind of repetitive. Not annoying, but that's mostly due to overall play time, again it's rather short, especially considering large, beautiful and in many ways amazing city that we're given to roam freely.
• Without Spider-Man as a character, game would barely stand–out from a shadow of latest open world/action games, yet some things remain true in any case: It's sticking to fingers, extreme fun to play (explore and combat both), well written and a bit unexpected from time to time. The game in many ways feels kind of reminiscent of Infamous 2, even hero characters are somewhat lookalike and for those not really attached to Spidey guy, I'd even say that Infamous was way better, or at least exploited city gameplay better.
I really loved token system economy for character upgrades, suit selection (Spoiler alert: I added a picture of my favorite one below :D) and tongue in cheek special abilities that come with them. So I may have lied just a bit by saying that there are no innovations at all. There is, but not enough :D.
Verdict: Recommended for purchase. Day 1 for fans and with first big discount one can get for everyone else :D.
P.S.: „Are you a trophy hunter? That's a Platinum Trophy over the weekend just right here!“.
It comes with an equalizer superpower, one hit finishes anyone, including You :D

superbly creative puzzles and crazy characters with unique abilities. How is this movie tie-in game from the 2000s so much better than 90% of games nowadays? This paid perfect tribute to the film while giving so much more.
Haiku Review: Baddies that sing are / pretty cool but it's too bad / There's just not enough
Favorite Thing: Singing baddies. I just wish there was more of it.
Least Favorite Thing: I didn't find it very engaging until the very end.
Date Completed: 2018-09-03
Playtime: ~ 4h
Enjoyment: 6/10
Recommendation: It's borderline but if you're looking for something quick give it a go.
Haiku Review: Challenges abound / Fun until you beat it all / Still don't like rogue-likes
Favorite Thing: The strategy component is simple with only 3 units to control but very engaging!
Least Favorite Thing: Runs are extremely short and the only thing driving one to replay is unlockables.
Date Completed: 2018-09-01
Playtime: 8h
Enjoyment: 7/10
Recommendation: Yes, but it's not a strong yes. It's just not my type of game and after one completion my interest has gone downhill.
Easily the greatest game ever made.
Stunning graphics, an enticing story-line and beautiful open-world gameplay. A must have for any real gamer!
It blew my fucking mind.

«That ending!»
Kind of like Lemmings, except the lil' guys aren't creepy as heck.
It's still early days, but it's already clear that Molecats is going to be a mix of addictive and hair-yanking. The lack of a fail-state is very nice (you might have to loop around the level one more time, but you don't have to *start completely over* as in a lot of puzzle games).

It’s that time of year again. PES 2019 has arrived and despite toying with the idea of giving it a miss this year the lure of the Master League is still strong and will carry me through until the next release of Football Manager. There is just something satisfying about leading your team of default misfits to glory and no other game can capture this. Unfortunately, as the game evolves on the pitch it seems to have completely disregarded the rest of the package. How much that matters is up to you the end user.
Let’s get the bad out of the way first. Everything that isn’t on the pitch is poor. Menus, user interface and game modes haven’t progressed or been refined since they were introduced. Online play is at least serviceable now, but it isn’t on a par with any FIFA release. In fact, with Konami’s change of strategy towards gaming post-Kojima and Metal Gear Solid a cynic would argue that this has been left untouched as a cost-saving measure. I say untouched yet if I was being harsh I would say they are worse than last year’s effort. Thank goodness for option files to correct all the kits. Again my personal choice is www.pesworld.co.uk. It makes the licensing issues disappear with a simple download.
As for game modes you have two mainstays of the series. My personal favourite the Master League and the online rival to FIFA Ultimate Team – My Club. I’ll fully admit that due to the time I invest in the Master League I usually only dabble in My Club, yet I find it to be a confusing effort at replicating FIFA Ultimate Team. Again it is serviceable and with the superior on the pitch, gameplay may be a purists choice compared to the money-grabbing trading cards of FIFA. With all the special offers and weekly agents you get, it is much easier to build yourself a wonder team full of legends and current stars before taking them online. The problem being it is easier for everyone else to do so as well. The Servers aren’t live yet so I will update if there are any noticeable changes. But enough of the bad and onto what really matters, the on-pitch action. This year PES 2019 takes a step closer to realism in my opinion. Last year PES 2018 was definitely the beautiful game. You were able to pass the ball in intricate triangles, create space and feed your wide forward into space before crossing for an unmissable header. It was like watching Pep’s Manchester City at their finest. However, therein lay the problem with PES2018. It is like agent Smith in the Matrix. Make the world too perfect and no one will believe it. The closer you got to the most perfect representation of Football the less realistic it seemed. There was very little ugly side to the game.
For the football to be realistic, the AI needs to foul, it needs to become more desperate as the game progresses and foul even more. Teams that haven’t got skilful players should play tight 4-4-2 and pepper you with long balls. You should be able to adopt whatever tactics you need to survive and more importantly, they should work or fail. In PES 2018 too often you were able to save yourself by the aforementioned cross into the box. These crosses were laser guided and something De Bruyne would be proud of. The problem was this kind of cross was the norm and not something to be marvelled at. It made a miss from the striker more unusual than a goal and this should never be the way.
The main touted feature by Konami this year is fatigue. Players should look more dishevelled and start making mistakes as they tire and the game progresses. To be honest it isn’t as pronounced as I thought. So far I haven’t noticed any last minute howlers that wouldn’t have been a staple of PES and ‘Scripting’anyway. Scripting in PES was the artificial difficulty put in by the game when playing against the AI. FIFA does it too, but in PES it was always more pronounced. Much like a regular game of football, if you dominate for 90 mins yet are only winning by one goal, it is always said that the opposition will get one more chance. Never has this been more obvious than in PES. A simple ball into the box, an unexplained poor pass from a defender, a startling lack of pace or the dreaded parry out from the keeper have all led to controller smashing feelings over the years. At least if they dress it up as fatigue this year then there will be some acknowledgement that it exists other than among long-time players.
The gameplay is noticeably slower and players can no longer all turn and control like Messi. This is essential, as player individuality is one of the main reasons to prefer PES to FIFA. By slowing the pace and making dribbling at low speeds more difficult, the patient player will reap rewards. Like a fighting game, the animation frames of PES are king. This is what separates a simulation from an arcade experience. By this I mean you have to judge the excellent player animations and use them to determine the best time to hit the shot. Playing the ball the striker’s wrong foot and immediately trying to get a shot off should result in failure most times. Instead, you need to control the ball, move it out to the good foot and then hit the strike. In PES2019 The players take slightly longer to do this and as such give the opposition more time to make a tackle or foul adding to the realism of the game. It makes hitting a long-range shot or special goal all the sweeter and more satisfying than before. Headers, the kryptonite of the AI have had their power reduced and this all adds up to a stiffer challenge. More prolonged play will reveal more nuances, but at the moment the slower pace, increased fouling, normalised headers and difficult close control add up to a more measured experience. Let’s hope it has the legs to keep pace all season and if you want the best community for the Master League, make sure to check out the excellent PES Chronicles.

What can I say? This game is a masterclass in exhilarating, high-octane kart racing with a delightful cast of colourful characters including such series favourites as Hippo and Zebra. If you ask me, you can't do much better for a mere £2.99. My life's ambition is to shake the hand of Paul Bird, the game's developer. If you're out there and you're reading this, you changed my life.
Interesting gameplay, which makes your brain to work a little.
