Anything to fill the gap Zone of the Enders left behind.
A game full of more awe-inspiring, emotional moments than you'd expect at first. Lovely atmosphere and a main character that you'll really be attached to by the end.

While this game is amazing, there's definitely a point where it's too much. The map could have been 1/4 of the size and the game would have been *better* for it.
Worth it for the beautifully realized Paris alone.
The game that somehow made Batman games cool again. Created an entire new stealth formula based around the special abilities of a bat-themed vigilante. Villains and boss battle setpieces really stand out in new and interesting ways.
Bringing the series back to the US really highlights how bizarre the series is. Still, co-op makes this game an incredible treat if you have a friend or two to take along for the ride.

An amazing villain, an amazing setting, and refined gunplay to go along with it. Sure, it's a little cookie cutter here and there, but the ability to play co op with friends elevates this series to another level.

It's fun as heck to mess with the netcode, too.

The first of the "modern" batch of Far Cry games, this game refines the gunplay and exploration aspects of the previous two titles and makes it a much more compelling experience. The story is simplified, characters are emphasized, and even when things aren't quite amazing, the setting helps set things apart.
A game that's tough to like and play, but has enough going for it to be compelling. The story and setting are intriguing and thought provoking, even if the gameplay can sometimes grind on your nerves.
A confusing, messy, bizarre FPS. Does enough novel and interesting things (massive levels, destructible vegetation, bright new setting) to make up for the multitude of problems in the game. Only bears a vague resemblance to later entries in the series.
Tries to recapture the campy charm of Red Alert 2, which it mostly does, but falls short in a variety of areas. Still a good RTS with plenty of imaginative units and gameplay concepts. Definitely worth a play if you want to see an RTS that's a bit... different.
A Zelda game that mostly works, but has a boatload of flaws. The split, disconnected world leaves a lot to be desired in the worldbuilding and story department, while some of the motion control additions seem forced and detrimental to gameplay.

A series of small sandbox simulations full of targets to take out in interesting ways. Enjoyment of the game comes from slowly exploring and understanding the systems and opportunities available to the player. Challenge yourself by trying to take out targets in new and interesting ways...

For one bright, shining moment this was simply a great time. It had unique character classes the served specific purposes in gameplay and required different playstyles, all while encouraging good teamwork.

Everything good and bad about the previous entry, in higher fidelity. The only real problem I have with this game is that it was cut short, and story threads that should have been wrapped up seemingly never will.

The faults this game does have are completely overshadowed by the mountain of quality worldbuilding and story that goes into it. You've got a variety of ways to go about your cyborg adventures in this game, and no matter what you choose it's satisfying. There's nothing better than finding your way into a hidden room, or sneaking past an encounter with some special skill.

A worthy successor to the original. While the story might not be for everyone (it is amazing!) the gameplay is undeniably more refined. Besides, any excuse to go back to Rapture one more time is more than worth it.

The undisputed king of RTS expansion packs. Essentially everyone who owned the original got this expansion, and for good reason. New units, new missions, and little improvements everywhere. Exactly what any expansion pack should strive to be.

The game so good it started a national sensation in Korea. When I was young I'd spend days just reading the strategy guide and methodically going through every story mission. Don't even get me started on the countless hours I spent playing UMS maps like Sunken D, Golems, and Fastest Map Possible.

The perfect RTS, with an excellent blend of tactics and strategy. The setting is well realized, with real world weapons behaving in (mostly) real-world ways, resulting in gameplay that feels very smart for a video game. Production quality is off the charts, with models, textures, sound effects, and music that are still largely unmatched to this day.
